Welcome back to another week of Deep Mondays with special guest. This week we welcome MOLI aka Mark Oliver as my special guest to take to the decks in the second half of the show.
Mark got hooked on dance music back in 2006 when he first heard Pendulum's Hold Your Colour album. After working his way through the drum'n'bass scene for years and learning his chops on the decks mixing that genre, a random invite to ABGT050 started his quick conversion to trance and house music. Now firmly stuck around 120 to 130 bpm, his mix for Deep Mondays is a preview of what Mark hopes to be playing out in person once we beat the virus.

Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of REFUGE. This is episode 05. I do want to apologise for the delay on getting this episode out. This past month has been a tough one. As some of you may have known through my socials, a good friend of mine Mohammad & his wife Noor died in a tragic drowning accident while on their honeymoon in Turks & Caicos. I share this with you all because Mo was a great rave buddy of mine and he had a lot of influence on my taste in dance music. A lot of the amazing experiences on a dance floor that lead me down the path of being a DJ, he was there for.  So this episode is for you Mo - thanks for everything. 
Oddly enough it was also my birthday on the 18th. I am now in the last year of my twenties.

REFUGE 05

Welcome back to another week of Deep Mondays with special guest!
This week we welcome Rocinante to the decks in the second hour of the show.
Rocinante is the Alter-Ego of Chris Scott, originally from South Wales, raised in South Africa before returning to Wales as a young teenager. 
Starting out as a DJ in 1988 playing a heady and eclectic mix of Grunge, Indie, Alternative, Hi-Energy and early EDM tracks to audiences across Wales and the North of England.
After leaving all this behind and taking a different career path, some 26 years later he returns with an eclectic mix of Deep, Melodic and Progressive House, Trance and Electronica to continue the journey.
Now hosting a monthly residency on South African radio show Truth in Dance with regular guest appearances on National FM and Digital shows in South Africa, Ukraine, Russia and Mexico. 
2020 brought many changes with a return to playing live at sets at events in Manchester, Bratislava, Brno and Budapest.
Inspired by the likes of Above and Beyond, James Grant & Jody Wisternoff, Yotto, Luttrel, Lee Burridge, Stan Kolev and the labels All Day I Dream, Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, he hopes to recreate that “open air” feeling of dancing in the sun.

Welcome back to the final episode of 2020 of Deep Mondays on the Beach with special guest!
We welcome Liz Cirelli to the decks in the second hour of the show.
Initially discovering her talent at the age of 11, Liz Cirelli grew into the epitome of a true musician with artistic ventures crossing genres and mediums to include DJing, producing, composing, singing, writing, and mentoring. A yogi and meditator, her journey along the path to increasing self-awareness has seen her become evermore versatile in her expressions of creativity. Passionate about empowering fellow musicians to achieve their dreams, Liz invites the world to join her journey into the human psyche. As a producer, Liz has received national UK radio support and has worked with Emmyaward winning composer, Gavin Greenaway and renowned violinist Minski. Other supporters of her music have been Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha, Laurent Garnier, John Digweed and Henry Saiz. An award-winning composer, she has written film scores for several independent productions. She has also had a number of years in the world of writing music for advertising, with clients and projects including work for EMI Production Music, 20th Century Fox, Nokia, Diesel, Bose, Sky TV, L’Oreal and directors Julian Schnabel and Stuart Birchall. As a London-based progressive house and melodic house and techno DJ, she played regular gigs at the legendary venues The End, Turnmills and The Cross and hosted a weekly radio show on House FM. Internationally, she has played festivals and has been hosted in Russia, Colombia, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Morocco, Spain, and India. She now enjoys a monthly residency on DNA Radio. Today, she continues to inspire and empower as many music lovers and creators as possible through The Cirelli School of Music. The school offers an extensive, thorough and very easy-to-follow music production course – and for those who wish to dive-deep: private one-to-one mentoring sessions with Liz, tailor-made to each student's very personal needs and goals.

Deep Mondays Pre-Xmas Special.
It gives me great pleasure to host the show on my own again for the next couple of weeks. This year has been weird and wonderful. Life always surprises me and Covid has certainly been the culprit of 2020. 
Deep Mondays was born during the first lockdown. So I am pleased that one positive thing developed for me from that first lockdown. 2021 is already set in stone for the first three months with a guest each week. I hope you can join in and support the artists.

The Final Friday Night Fiesta!

Welcome back to the second week of the 2021 series.
This week we welcome Gabe Real aka U/ME to the second half of the show.
Now in his 30th year as a Dj, U/ME came of age in the Chicago House music scene, sneaking into clubs to hear the likes of Derrick Carter and Mark Farina. Those early years shaped him as a young Dj even though he started out playing downtempo and eventually Drum and Bass.To U/ME it's all House Music. Five years ago U/ME started playing House music because, "I felt like I had earned the right to play the music I love through many years of dedication and devotion to the craft."
