Marco V and Thomas Newson, father & son, rejoin forces for the first time in 10 years, for their new progressive house gem CIDOLEM on Epic247.

This couldn’t be clearer in the case of Marco V and his son Thomas Newson. A family relation that seems to be a rare and well-kept industry secret. At a young age Thomas decided to follow the lead of his father, giving him big shoes to fill. With Marco V being a steady worldwide top DJ Mag Top 100 poller at the time, responsible for some of the most iconic dance tracks till today, like Simulated, GODD and Luvstruck under his Southside Spinners moniker.

While Thomas is shaping his own musical path in modern day successfully, currently being the #33 most supported producer in the world, some striking resemblances appear, as both father and son performed at the leading festivals of the world, including Tomorrowland, Mysteryland, Creamfields, Dancevalley and more.  And when playing live the resemblance of father and son show instantaneously, both being a true ‘dj’ while performing on stage.

With ‘CIDOLEM’ (Latin for 'I Am The Child' and reverse writing for Melodic) Thomas Newson and Marco V deliver a true progressive house gem, building on their family signature sound and legacy of quality sounds. Combining both their individual creative worlds on ‘CIDOLEM’, with the punchier techy beats from senior meeting the melodic progressive side of junior.

Art & animations provided on the release by Jeroen Vos, previously responsible for some of the most iconic visual works in dance history like the ‘Elements of Life’ album artwork and ‘In Search of Sunrise’ tour artwork for Tiësto.
