I had a dream to DJ at the famous and fabulous House of Yes in Brooklyn ever since I heard of its existence. A few months ago I received the following message from a dear and beautiful soul named Willis: "I’m so excited you dropped a new set on Soundcloud!! TY 🙏🏼 I lived in your sets throughout the pandemic: Pretty Shit gave me life. Also mind you I was on a farm in the Catskills with 2 dj’s from my camp (Glamcocks) throughout lockdown. 

I am guessing, I am your #1 listener and that perhaps you might be wondering who this Willis Welch is. So allow me to answer that with this note of gratitude. I am friend of Bianca Berger’s now Bianca Snyder  aka @highsocietymomma and she did a class to one of your sets and I feel in love! I absolutely love the journey your sets take me on. TY TY TY! I was so touched as this message and so happy to be connected with such a beautiful soul. Seeing he lived in NYC I shared with him my dream to DJ at the House of Yes. Just so happens his Burning Man camp throws a fundraiser there- he shared my music with the team and I was in! I'm internally grateful for music, my amazing husband Bryan and all of his support, the GlamCocks and especially Willis!

Huge thanks to The Gathering for having me out again.  Back in the day, when I first started going to parties, there was always a chill-out stage.  It wasn't where the big names played, but it was THE place to hang out with friends.  Over the years, those stages have vanished, so I believe downtempo is like a lost art.

Dawntempo is my unique brand of that -- downtempo at dawn.  It's vibey, and it makes you want to wiggle, but it's also chill enough that hanging out and talking with friends feels totally appropriate.

The Pain Cave is a visualization model that ultra-endurance athletes have used to push the boundaries of their physical and mental limitations. As I embark on my second marathon, I intend to go back into the pain cave. To feel the aching desire to push yourself, to see what is beyond the horizon, and to feel all waves the emotions. DJJD's career peaked waaay back in 2011 when he took the stage inside the Frank Sinatra Room at the legendary, and now-defunct, Cal-Neva Resort in Lake Tahoe NV, opening for the legendary and now-defunct Bassnectar.  These days DJJD has transformed into DJ-J-DAD and still plays the occasional gig around the Tahoe/Truckee/Reno area and is constantly searching for his next favorite Dj to follow on here.
