Summertime (Mixnotmix 2014)

Farewell mix for a monthly night TheBoyJazz & I ran in The Slate, Cork from February to August 2010. A welcome addition to a Saturday night that was usually dominated by chart sounds (& worse!), it soon built up a cult following.

We had to cut the night short while it was in full swing as TheBoyJazz moved to Manchester, UK for university & I was planning to do some travelling.

This mix was cobbled together in September 2010 as a thank you to the regulars & limited copies were circulated. A lot of the crowd favourites (over 40) from the monthly session were quick-mixed into just over an hours worth of listening.

Starting off in Eastern Europe, detours are taken through India, Turkey, Zambia, South Korea & many more before winding up in Brazil with the sublime "Espelhos Quebrados" by Ronnie Von. It hopefully replicates a ADHD version of what the music was like at one of our nights. Enjoy!
