Advice for the DJs, producers and artists of our community: If you can’t find the scene or the vibe or the crew that you’re looking for (or you do but you’re not invited to the table) - build your own. Build the movement you want to see and the like-minded baes will find *you*. That was the whole concept behind Mostbeautifullest/Darkness is Spreading. Also: genres don’t really matter. Throw every single track that moves you in your sets and mixes and let your style develop as a true reflection of you - multifaceted and unique af. Just make them transitions tight. Be wildly creative with it; you don’t have to do it like them. Especially us as Black DJs and producers. This is our scene; we invented it, we shape it, we carry it forward. We are the culture.
