I was watching The_Roots on The Tonight Show w/JF Tuesday night, got inspired when they were playing a joint while going to commercial break, so I pulled out EW&F album and sampled "Fantasy". This is what I came up with, "Fan-Tea-Sea" I hope you boom-bap heads dig it.

"The Trackagents Theme" featuring MC Stag, Nig The Pusher, & QuicKarl (produced by Dj Joey Joe)

This hidden gem was produced by me, back in 1999-2000 QuicKarl, Blu, Hotrod, and I came up with an idea to form a producer crew to try and get some work from local rappers in the area, well between Blu & Quick they found a few kats that wanted to work with us.  QuicKarl had some studio equipment, so all music was recorded at his place, I brought over my JS-30, played some beats, Stag & Nig liked this beat and spat over it as well as Quick. This is the end result, it's not a mastered version but it's all I have, enjoy.

I made this remix at the end of 2002, during this time I switched from making beats on the Roland JS-30 to using the MPC 2000XL, I had given out a beat-cd to over 30 to 50 local artists in SC with a bunch of beats I had made during a year & a half span to beat placement and etc., this was the first beat on the cd but only 2 actually got used but not this one.  The beat on here is the full fleshed-out beat I did when I got my EB16 installed on my MPC the same time I made this remix which I felt needed a better beat, I didn't care for it, so I never shared it online until now...enjoy.

I originally made this beat back in '04/'05, even posted it up on here, got some likes & comments, one I use to get is that it sounded to much like Def Squad's "Check N' Me Out", cause yeah it's the same sample.  So less than a year later I scrapped beat and basically started over and came up with this version.  This time I wanted to hear how this would sound with raps on it, so I picked a few 12"s I had laying around with accapellas and this was the vocals I thought fit, and bam, another remix was done.  Later on I didn't care for how it sounded sonically, maybe cause I had an old needle or maybe the bass was too much, but for a long time I wanted to delete this or redo it but decided to just leave it as is & just move on to other beats.

This is my entry for the STBB Forever forums for number 612 beat battle. Out of the four songs we had to sample from I sampled from three of them (bassline, horns, and trinkling sounds) and the rest was my sounds (kicks, snares, etc.), and have any of the samples reversed as the main part of the beat.

I started out as a rapper after a while I was making pause mixtapes & beats to listen/rhyme to then later on I got into spinning, scratching, mixing.  I began spinning hip-hop, dancehall reggae, & house music & making mixtapes.  Bought my first sampler & learned making beats, then I graduated to the MPC 2000XL, and haven't looked back since.
