Paying tribute to Cece Blake is a vexing task. She was such a multi-faceted character, any collection of words (or music) feels like it will be frustratingly incomplete. The longer you spent with Cece, the better you got to know her, the more you came to realize just how much more there was to her story. Rich new chapters with intersecting casts of characters that you didn't even know about. And yet Cece was no chameleon. She existed in many worlds but I never felt that she changed her colors. Quite the opposite, she always knew how to be herself. In hindsight, I think Cece was more like a prism - the colors were always there, if you only knew the angles from which to look.

Things I adored about Cece: her cool confidence, her seemingly effortless and unerring sense of style, her tough-as-nails pride (even if to a fault), her ability to gracefully ignore bullshit, her endlessly patient demeanor, her earnest love and encouragement of artistic expression.

Dance music was the initial force that brought Cece and I into each other's lives, long before we even realized. Years into our friendship, after it had grown well beyond the club, I recall our amusement at digging through online party photos and spotting ourselves unknowingly side by side on the same dance floors, there all along. I never thought of Cece as being the "life of the party." She was too reserved for that, not the type who needed everyone to acknowledge her presence. But she was very much the "soul of the party." Present for the right reasons, letting her energy flow, sensitive to the experience of others, available for connection without ever demanding attention. And yes, every once in a while finding the right moments to let it rip.

There is just too much music to pick from, and this mix is definitely not an attempt to express or summarize Cece's tastes. Honestly, Cece might find this a bit too sappy. Some of the tracks and artists in here I do know were very special to her, but mostly this mix is just about my fondness for her and the loving energy that she shared with so many of us, which I miss very much and will always remember.

A number of years ago there were a couple of secret parties organized by a number of golden souls. My wife, Lovisa, came home from one such party and talked about how good those parties were and that I really should go next time. What she talked about the most though was a DJ who had played at the party which was among the best she had ever experienced. The one she meant was none other than the legend DJ T. A few years later, another one of these parties was held and DJ T. was on the line up. This time I also got to experience this magic that Lovisa has raved about for x number of years. Lovisa doesn't say things like this lightly and she wasn't wrong. Delivering journeys musically is an art form and if anyone can do this seamlessly it's Thomas Koch aka DJ T. He takes you on a study in electronic music without it being obvious. It is not until some time later that you actually realize what you get to experience when he plays. This is what you now get with this exclusive mix for episodes. Most of the time I usually describe what the mix contains, but in this case I want you to go in and just listen. Completely without expectations. Trust me... it will be worth it!

I am incredibly grateful for this mix Thomas. You are a master among disciples and a beacon to follow. Thank you again and I will see you soon!

This past March marked listed's annual pilgrimage to Miami for a melee of musical magic that is Winter Music Conference, the centerpiece of which was once again Friday morning's annual Freaky Tikki boat cruise, an intimate 150 person dawn to lunch time affair. After each delivered incredible performances in 2011, <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/dannyhowellsdj">Danny Howells</A> and <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cassy-Britton/207845458637"> Cassy</A> returned to the decks, this time deepening their collaboration with an impromptu four hour B2B tag-team extravaganza that followed an oh-so-smooth, steady build <A HREF="http://www.electronicgroove.com/EG335Dory.php">opening set</A> by listed resident <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/djd0ry">Dory</A>.

<A HREF="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0rxWhVGoZw&hd=1">Sensitive as ever to the environment and vibe</A>, Danny and Cassy laid down a blissful set of classic summertime house music. Bouncy basslines bopping along like butterflies across the beach, with festive flourishes of filtered funk and gravy-smooth grooves greeting the sunshine, carrying an all too merry crowd along for the ride, <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151245453723623.529308.10116133622&type=3">whilst immersed in good company and stellar sound.</A>

The duo's impressive longevity and musical range were on full display as they seamlessly mixed fresh sounds with some tasty vintage selections, digging deeper (as Danny does) all the way back to classics like the Salt City Orchestra's 1998 remix of the Sneaker Pimps "Post-Modern Sleaze" (2hrs38mins) or Global Communication's 1996 "The Way" (2hrs57mins), led by new favorites like Marcus Homm's "Keyframe Signal" (36min) and blending perfectly into modern classics like Dan Ghenacia and Shonky's newly minted "Close to the Edge" (3hrs6mins).  All in all, an amazing auditory adventure and a real treat for those lucky enough to find themselves aboard.

With over 20 years behind the decks, I have had the opportunity to travel and share the stage with my idols such as Sasha, John Digweed, Green Velvet, Guy Gerber, Ellen Allien, Lee Burridge, Fairmont, PillowTalk, Eelke Kleijn, Quivver, My Favorite Robot, No Regular Play, Chris Fortier, Dave Seaman, Sandra Collins, among others. Some of them are now very good friends.

I was lined up over 2008 Music Dance Fest, the first festival in Mexico City with international DJs booked, where I shared the bill with artists such as Danny Tenaglia, Paul Van Dyk, Gui Boratto, Alexi Delano, Justin Roberston, Seb Fontaine, Second Sun, Flashbrothers and Andy Moore.

I was invited to travel as an Open act on tours with Tiësto for 3 years, Paul Van Dyk for 2 years, some with Chris Fortier, Jimmy Van M, Quivver, Micah Lukasewich, and 2 other tours with the infamous label Global Underground.

Being a DJ, I got to meet and live amazing things, like watching how the scene was born in cities like Guadalajara, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, and other places in Mexico.

EELKE KLEIJN’s career took off in a big way with his in labels such as Armada, Toolroom, Suara y Global Underground, this took him to film a live set over the Youtube Channel Cercle music. He once mentioned: “Jordi arranged my first tour through Mexico, I loved working together and had an amazing time visiting cities like Guadalajara and Zacatecas. It was also great fun to hang out and play together, one of the nicest promoters we have worked with “.

DAVE SEAMAN from Global Underground, Selador, Suara, Armada Music, and Einmusika, expressed about Jordi: "One of Mexico's best DJs and also a very nice guy!!".

SAMMY D´s, PILLOWTALK lead singer and old school DJ, with massive hit singles in Kompakt, Life and Death, Wolf + Lamb  and part of the crew of Crew Love said: “Not only is Jordi an exceptional human being, he is a joy to work with and an incredible talent behind the decks. Some of my favorite parties in Mexico over the last 15 years have been with him.  He is a class act with the history to back it up. Jordi is an OG”.

CHRIS FORTIER, from Fade Records, Bedrock Records and Get Physical, referred to him as: “Jordi Riera is a tried and tested veteran of the Mexican DJ and Promoter scene. He has been very successful for many years. He is well-liked and an integral part of the Mexican dance music scene.”

His friends from decades "QUIVVER" from Bedrock Records, Perfecto Records, Anjunadeep and Toolroom said: “Jordi is a great DJ and has a real passion for music. he's also a very professional promoter, a nice guy to work with and I’ve always had good experiences and a lot of fun dj'ing with him.”

The genius and studio wizard MICAH LUKASEWICH from All Day I Dream, Global Underground, Selador and Black Hole refer to him as: "Jordi is like a brother to everyone he brings to Mexico, ask anywhere and Jordi Riera is a name most DJs know and respect."

The multi-instrumentalist, Justin Timberlake’s sound engineer, and Delerium band bass player and signed on Nervous Records, MIKE HIRTZKA, comment: "Jordi is one of my favorite DJs to play with. he has great versatility, and always plays great music no matter what venue we're playing at!"

The DJ with the biggest trajectory in Mexico TINI TUN from We Are Here, and Global Underground mentioned: “I have known Jordi Riera for a long time, he is one of my best friends. He is a very talented DJ and promoter. He has been around in the Mexico and Guadalajara scene since the beginning, promoting great events with excellent top DJs from around the world.
