I have been wanting to create a chilled out mix for a while. Something I can have in the background during wine tasting and dinner parties. I picked up some new tunes on vinyl and digital as well and just tried some stuff out. Started around 99 BPM and got up to 107 BPM at the end. Perfect for watching the sun set into the Pacific Ocean.

Matt first came to playa with The Dusty Booty Ranch in 2019, but it felt like he was always there. After years of friends and family going, he was a natural. Instant family. And if you can tell a person’s character from their kids, then Matt scores a GIANT 100%.  You know he has to be an amazing person because his kids are amazing people. 

It feels like Matt has endless layers to pull back. It’s always something new and different (and gooood) with him. He’s a seasoned vet, mixing records since 1993. From a deep history with DnB, and a newer foray back to house music with a partnership with Woody as Simplow, their monthly- Second Saturdays at Timber Room. You never know where he’s going to take you, but you know you’re going to like it!

That was a *truly* unforgettable night in London.

We've had some amazing boat parties over the years, but it felt like there was something particularly special in the air. The transition to a One Series set was *so much fun* for me personally, starting out with some low slung funk & percussive deep house, rolling through the gears with some widescreen tech & bass house and finally bringing home the bacon with an anthemic outburst of classic techno.

I can't thank family and friends enough for being so supportive, so engaged, so welcoming, and so THERE. Such a spectacular, and special night. Thank you all.

The dust blew in hard. Relentless. All Burn long. Destroyed pretty much everything. Beautiful it was.

There was true love, crushing loss, epiphany, change.
We were challenged, confronted, baffled, amused.
It threw us curveballs, softballs, thrashed our weary minds to the point of burnout.

In the middle of this Carnival of Chaos, were the twin techno towers of DISTRIKT, letting fly with winning smiles, throbbing bass, passionate hugs, rainbow tears and a sense of unity through the beauty of the beat.

We wore black. And we fucking rocked.

Live set from FnF Campout XXI in the dark at 3am: We were beyond stoked to play under the Radiant Atmosphere lights on Know:Audio's full rig. Our intentions for the set were Badass-tech, Swampy curveballs, & evocative energies. We were trying to summon primal energies and ancient archetypes. For years we've wanted to use Ministry's "So What" in a set and we basically framed this whole energy upon that anchor/pivot. We can't stop dancing to these tracks and hope you enjoy 'em as well!
