We were still in the throes of the pandemic when I launched the LLL series back in March of 2021. I had dipped my toes into the Twitch streaming pool through 2020 as part of the ATL DJ Collective crew but this was the first time I struck out on my own to do my own thing on my own channel. I had no idea where it was gonna end up but I set some parameters for myself. I wanted to avoid playing the same tracks from show to show and I wanted to make sure that every set I played met a minimum standard of quality to where I could throw the recording up on Soundcloud and it would stand up to some of the best mixes I heard from my personal DNB DJ idols. While I feel like in some ways I succeeded in that task, I think I underestimated the amount of work that would go into unearthing fresh new music every week, time spent organizing my Rekordbox playlists, tagging tunes by key and plain familiarizing myself with every new track, finding relationships between old and new tracks, devising a cue point system to alert me on the fly where vocals come in on tracks to avoid clashes. Not to mention, making artwork, posting on socials... The list goes on and on. I wish it were as easy as "just jumping on and playing for 2 hours". It's actually easy to do that, but can you jump on and PLAY WELL for 2 full hours?

With the benefit of hindsight and 100 LLL episodes under my belt I can undoubtedly say this endeavor has made me a better DJ, even with my 30+ years of experience going into this. The bonus level to all of it has been all the cool people I now call my friends, who log on every Saturday to watch me sink or swim every week. All the banter in the chat, tunes we've recommended to each other and bonding we've done over this music we love called drum'nbass. All the producers who've reached out to me and entrusted me with their exclusives. Everyone who's listened and shared on Soundcloud and socials... I appreciate y'all. I don't know for how long I'll keep this going, but for now I can call this experiment an unqualified success. Thanks for the support and much love 🖤

Live At The Final Platinum 2005 (92-93 Hardcore)

Hello and welcome episode 47 of The DJ B-12 Deep Acid House Experience. I hope you are all doing well out there and I appreciate your support and listenership. This show is for the month of September 2023, and it is dedicated in memory of Ainsley Talbot, my 10-month 3-week-old kitten who passed on August 29, 2023. She had a terrible condition that left her disabled after she was about 2-3 months old. Although she was born normal with her surviving sister, Arianna and her brother, Jackson, it seems, her mother, Gracie (who was a stray cat I took in 3 weeks before they were born), contracted a virus while she was pregnant, which resulted in only Ainsley developing a condition that caused her cerebral cortex to not form properly. It started out with her motor skills diminishing and eventually led to her being only able to lay on her side and needing help doing everything. She was a true fighter, and she will always be my little hero and my best friend, but her broken little body just had enough. She was the most beautiful, precious, and loving soul I've ever known. As you can imagine, this was a bittersweet episode for me to do with losing her so young, which is one of the reasons it took me so long to get out, but I wanted to get a fresh mix out with new tunes that I could also dedicate to her. Although this set was worked out ahead of her passing, some of the tracks took on a special meaning because of lyrics and titles. RIP Ainsley girl. I will love you forever and always, until we meet again, my angel. Ainsley Talbot October 3, 2022 - August 29, 2023.

1st Take Sessions Vol. 7 'Fractured Aura' (Sw3rv3 - Mobile Unit) Liquid DnB Session

2 hour Sunday session to make up for missing my Saturday stream. I tried to cycle through a few  flavors of vibey drum'n bass, starting off with some spacey bassline driven liquid at the start, then dipping into some deeper cuts for the first hour. The beginning of the second hour is mostly techy and minimal rollers before moving into some wonky rollers and ending with some jungle-tinted numbers. Glad I decided to fit this sesh in!

A last minute change of plans made it to where I didn't have to cancel this session, and I'm so so glad about that. It was a tense few hours of scrambling to refresh my playlists in time to go live by 5, but once I was in the mix everything felt right with the world. I anticipated the chat to be a bit sparse on account of a championship football game playing out at the same time as the stream. In all honestly the heads that did show up are the same die hard peeps who come through for me every week, ready to vibe out for the duration of the sesh. My true ride or dies.
