Of Paradise avec Fade - 03 Septembre 2021

"The best mixes for me feel personal, so if there was something to take away from this mix it’s that I want you to feel like you’ve gotten to know me a bit. It’s a journey mix that just sort of explores my mind and emotions of late. I made it fully in Ableton because it’s easier for me to deal with all the vocals that way, you’ll hear my voice weaving in and out at times acting as the narrator. The opening track is an unreleased collab with Irish producer Lighght, whom I met on the internet and is lovely. The last track is a short instrumental piece in progress that I’m working on. I’m enamoured with Caroline Polachek, so I took one of her CEP tracks to make ‘Caroline’s interlude’. The words spoken over Loraine’s track are Cecile Believe lyrics. I also wanted to include a moment to pay respect to DJ Rashad, who’s music is a massive source of inspiration and comfort."

‘Curry’s House with D.D.Curry’ is a 2-hour dance music program on Voices At Night that combines DJ sets with guest interviews. The London-via-Brooklyn host is a DJ, producer and co-founder of electronic labels Fortune Signal and Working Rhythms Records. Each month, Curry will invite a guest DJ to provide a 1-hour set and have a lively conversation about songs that influenced them. In his mix for this month, Curry provides an energetic blend of house, UKG and rave sounds from around the world, with an emphasis on UK talent. He’s joined by Glasgow-based Dan be, a Spanish producer, DJ and co-owner of the Y4 Collective label, who discusses his disciplined approach to creating tracks, as well as his label’s curatorial process as it nears its 4th anniversary. Dan also contributes a clubby guest mix consisting of dancefloor-focused house, garage and breakbeats.

‘Curry’s House with D.D.Curry’ is a 2-hour dance music program on Voices At Night that features exciting sounds and voices from the underground dance music community around the world. The London-via-Brooklyn host is a DJ, producer and owner of electronic labels Fortune Signal. This month, Curry’s House welcomes Brooklyn-based DJ/Producer Kyle Louis (fka KLM) released on Fortune Signal and Working Rhythms Records after making a name for himself as co-founder of New York’s popular Little Disco parties. Louis’s guest mix features energetic, clubby house sounds with some cheeky surprises sprinkled in. Curry’s own mix kicks things off with fresh underground house and garage sounds.
