Since the beginning of time people have tried to explain what occurs on the darkside of the moon. Neil Armstrong was sent to find out but could not fully understand, Pink Floyd evangelized their interpretation of it following their secret space mission and since then no man has dared to venture back...

For one, however, it was the other way around: caught in a cosmic paradox Atelier Francesco, longed to grace grounds of a planetary place - somewhere oxygenated, somewhere gravitationally unchallenged, somewhere with dancefloors he could invade.

Atelier began, in the depths of darkness, to emulate... to craft the vibrations and sounds of our distant planet, constructing and remixing shards, shrapnel and shooting stars with his instruments made from meteors, debris and dust. With only a vacuum of non-existent echoes as his audience for his neurological approach to music, Atelier decided to master the dark and moody grooves of earth. Atelier created his own unique live act, one that he tailored for planet earth. Sawing, moulding and giving a new purpose to earthly objects. We wait with baited breath to witness it..

Atelier's next mission is to delve deeper into the earth's crust, with his ammunition ready to launch...Two interstellar EPs, "Akaino" forthcoming on BOSO and ‘Dead End’ on Cityfox.

"I’ve always been sensitive to my surroundings and the world is in a very vulnerable place at the moment. I felt I needed to express my true emotions through something a little bit different to a conventional DJ mix and also that just writing one song was not going to be enough.

It was almost like composing a score, the only difference being that the pictures were only in my head. My ambition was for the music to evoke a visual response in the listener rather than just an emotional one. To do that I took some audio snippets of real life current affairs scenarios that really struck a chord in me and then used my DJ instinct to think of a track/musical piece that would fit well to that particular scene. Sometimes when I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted I added my own music over existing music or did my own sound design to create my own sound effects and also wrote some original pieces in the moment. It was very important to me to create ultimate flow and I felt this could only have been achieved without having any beats supporting the music. I also didn't want to make it eclectic nor constant as I felt that would disrupt the listener’s focus emotionally. There is a strong dynamic range throughout similar to classical music and also some parts that are almost meditative and then in contrast some more intense moments.

We both separately fell in love with Fall In Time after listening to Teleman's album, it was the standout track of the LP for us. The pieces were there to mold our rework into a functional and tasteful remix that could have a beautiful impact in the clubs. Teleman's musicality is truly top notch, and we wanted to work with as much of the original in different ways to showcase as much of the band's musicianship. The powerfully emotional vocals and haunting, but uplifting melodies really allowed us to piece together this little journey, something that we think can fit in a variety of times and situations on the dancefloor, getting this Teleman's music appreciated in the deeper electronic scene.

Ich öffne meine Augen und nehme mit vernebelten Verstand den blauen Himmel wahr. Mit meiner Handfläche ertaste ich das satte Grün unter mir. Als ich den Kopf drehe erblicke ich, mit immer noch leicht verschwommenen Blick, zappelnde Gestalten. Sie bewegen sich rhythmisch hin und her. Wohlige Wärme durchströmt meinen Körper als eine strahlend weiße Wolke den Platz für die Sonne frei macht. Langsam setze ich mich auf und meine Synapsen werden weiter mit Eindrücken geflutet. Aus verschwommenen schwarzgrau wird pfauenfeder-bunt. Lachen und wilder Tanz bestimmt die Szenerie, die umrahmt wird von elektronischen Kompositionen. Alle scheinen so frei und unbeschwert zu sein. Es herrscht eine Schwerelosigkeit des Seins wie bei Kindergeburtstagen aus früheren Zeiten. Die Umgebung ist detailverliebt geschmückt und die Teilnehmer dieses fantasievollen Kongresses scheinen dem Alltag nie begegnet zu sein. Voller Freude erhebe ich mich und begebe mich ins Getümmel. Ich schwebe durch diesen lauen Sommertag und lasse mich treiben  durch ungeahnte Sphären. Die Momente scheinen unendlich zu sein und pure Inspiration wird in meinen Verstand injiziert. Ich tanze, lache, quatsche, spiele, entdecke und scheine den Garten Eden gefunden zu haben. Ein Rave im Grünen wie eine Offenbarung. Wann kommt nur endlich wieder der Frühling und die Zeit der gemeinsamen Verzückung.

Als akribischer Organisator von immer größer werdenden exotisch Openair Raves in der fränkischen Natur ist Tim Tation genau der richtige Experte, um uns dieses Feeling ins heimische Wohnzimmer zu holen und somit die Wartezeit auf die Freiluft-Saison zu verkürzen.

Jahrelange passionierte Musikrecherche bereichern sein Repertoire mit Raritäten. Ihn fesselt die Analogie zu traditioneller schamanischer Musik: aufeinander aufbauende, treibende und tripige Klänge. Das und die Magie orientalischer Rhythmen transportiert er in seine Sets, welche mit Hilfe von dem 2015 gegründeten Laissez-Faire e.V. auch immer wieder unter freien Himmel ertönen. Dazu hat die sympathische Crew ein Stückchen Land in der Nähe von Nürnberg in einen Zauberwald der Möglichkeiten verwandelt den man gesehen haben sollte.

La Grange II - Part 1

I made this remake of "Sæglópur" in 2012 (Icelandic for "lost at sea" or "lost seafarer") - a song by Sigur Rós, released in 2006 as a single from the 2005 album Takk.... Parts of the song are in Icelandic, although a lengthy portion is in Hopelandic, a "language" of nonsense words selected by the band that sound similar to Icelandic.  Available for download here.
