The theme in my life at this moment is liberation, and I think that comes through in this set. 
There’s a freedom we get to feel when we dance together—freedom in movement, in community, in being fully expressed and seen. 
Music pulls us into our hearts, connecting us in ways beyond words.

I had a dream to DJ at the famous and fabulous House of Yes in Brooklyn ever since I heard of its existence. A few months ago I received the following message from a dear and beautiful soul named Willis: "I’m so excited you dropped a new set on Soundcloud!! TY 🙏🏼 I lived in your sets throughout the pandemic: Pretty Shit gave me life. Also mind you I was on a farm in the Catskills with 2 dj’s from my camp (Glamcocks) throughout lockdown. 

I am guessing, I am your #1 listener and that perhaps you might be wondering who this Willis Welch is. So allow me to answer that with this note of gratitude. I am friend of Bianca Berger’s now Bianca Snyder  aka @highsocietymomma and she did a class to one of your sets and I feel in love! I absolutely love the journey your sets take me on. TY TY TY! And I hope our paths cross someday perhaps on playa or in NYC where I live. Happy New Year!!"

I was so touched as this message and so happy to be connected with such a beautiful soul. Seeing he lived in NYC I shared with him my dream to DJ at the House of Yes. Just so happens his Burning Man camp throws a fundraiser there- he shared my music with the team and I was in! I'm internally grateful for music, my amazing husband Bryan and all of his support, the GlamCocks and especially Willis!

This song collection came completely unexpected to me over the last two days, from a place of pure flow. I watched a few videos of a very special human, music producer, DJ and friend, the late and oh so great Pumpkin. He talked about playing "that pretty shit" to make the beautiful people smile. I read a quote from him about taking risks with DJ sets, and I know from our chats that he's all about coming from the heart. It is completely out of my comfort zone to share this with you, I really don't know how to mix so many diverse songs, I found myself thinking that the transitions should be smooth as butter before posting this, I judged myself for not being good enough to do anything to honour such an amazing man of music- but then I was reminded of his words, and I decided that I don’t want to wait to share this pretty shit with you. Most of Pumpkin’s produced tracks are in here, woven with other songs that just remind me of my friend, make my heart smile, and my booty wanna sway. I love you. I hope you enjoy.

South Africa is my home land, and Cape Town is known as one of the top cities in the world to visit. I've been lucky enough to spend 3 months in this gorgeous place, filled with amazing people, delicious food at stylish restaurants, scenic beauty, all dripping in colourful art and culture. House music is a staple here, and this mix was influenced by playing out at clubs and bars during my stay, it's fun and upbeat, and should get you moving. Such an honor and a joy to play music at Leyenda. 
I've never cried so hard while DJing. When I mixed in the first Pumpkin track I just wept. I first went to Leyenda back in 2011 with my friend Kampy. It was my first festival after my first burn. This is where I first met many amazing friends, including Pumpkin. His sunrise set was so magical and will never be forgotten. It was an absolute dream come true to get to play as the sun rose over those incredible rocky mountains. So many memories came flooding back. It was that festival that made me know I wanted to be a DJ, and the inspiration for me to move to move to LA and change the course of my life in the most beautiful way. I'm so grateful to have the recording of this to share with you all. I spent more time on this set than I ever have, I wanted it to be a gift for the amazing community I am a part of. A special thanks to Brooke for suggesting me as an option to play, to Dru for listening and Nic for coming to get me after my alarm didn't go off! So glad I didn't sleep through my time slot!!

Sunday Sunrise, Leyenda 2019 with Kerry Bo Berry

I’ve always played with energy during my DJ sets, but really took it to the next level this time. I set intentions for it to be a connecting, expansive, transformative EXPERIENCE for everyone involved.

I was pulling energy from the whole universe, channeling it through my body and then out through my heart to everyone dancing with me.

I washed everyone in white light and lit the dance floor up with violet flame. I send golden and pink light to peoples hearts. It was a beautiful collaboration between the Universe, the music, the people dancing and me. I’m so grateful and wondering what’s possible next?!!
