Born, bred & fed in the windy city, DJ Kidtrae is now one of Chicago’s sought after disc jockeys. At the ripe age of 14 he got into the game by carrying crates of records for his mentor dj friends. They opened his eyes to the world of music performance, showed him the ropes, and taught him how to set himself apart from everyone else. By 17 years old DJ Kidtrae was capturing audiences and making his mark in the scene with his fresh way of spinning. His unique single-turntable skill, competitive beat juggling, skillful quick mixing, and collaborative music selection put him in a category all his own. Influenced and inspired by his fellow dj’s all over the world, he developed his distinctive style by incorporating many different genres of music. From house to hip-hop, old school to rock, top 40 to Latin, Dj Kidtrae captures any and all diverse crowds no matter where his appearances take him. After over 10 years of networking with the industry elite and moving crowds through music all over the country, DJ Kidtrae decided to step up his game once again. He got himself involved in the video mixing wave and has been mastering his new skills ever since. Dj Kidtrae is now affiliated with Definitive Talents (DefTal DJs) & Bum Squad DJz. With his weekly residencies and guest DJ schedule, he continues to rock the stage at countless hot venues and shows no sign of stopping for a long time to come.
