I was at an outdoor party recently, and got to play some dancefloor Drum & Bass for the first time in ages. It was so much fun, I came home and recorded a new mix. I put very little planning into this one, so it's essentially what my live set would have sounded like. Mostly new stuff, with a couple classics thrown in for fun.

KitKat made friends with the ones and twos in two thousand and two by teaching herself to mix on a set of belt driven Numarks.  

When asked to play her first show in 2005, they needed a name to put on the flyer.  After spending a few grueling hours chatting with her mom, (her biggest fan and vise versa) the old nickname "Kitkat" came up.  Mom asked what kinda music she played.  At the time she was on a strict diet of breakbeats, so mom sang the "gimme a break" jingle and....well the rest is history. 

Since her debut in 2005 she has rocked numerous events, outdoor festivals, co-created "Chubby Beats" with Dr Jones-a weekly club night at the Lotus Sound Lounge in Vancouver, and was part of the UK based NSB Radio family for 7 amazing years. 

Her high energy bass driven sets really are a treat. A lucky few have even seen her mix with her feet!
