Unsere Nummer 89 kommt diese Woche von einer ganz besonderen Nummer … und zwar vom bärtigen 959er aus München.
 
Tobi ist schon ganz früh in den SC-Zirkus eingestiegen und hat uns alle mit zahlreichen Sets und Podcast den Tag/die Nacht versüßt. Seit ein paar Jahren ist er auch tonangebend bei dem Podcast/Blog Projekt „Das haett es frueher nicht gegeben“, das für uns mit zu den besten Podcast-Reihen der Nation zählt … innovativ, abwechslungsreich, authentisch. Außerdem gehört er noch zum Label „sowasvon“ und zum Veranstaltungs-Kollektiv „Wannda Zirkus“ aus München das durch ihre aufwendigen Partys von sich reden macht (übrigens dieses Jahr auch auf dem Uckeralm Festival vertreten).

Neben seiner DJ-Tätigkeit, ist der gelernte Schlagzeuger aber auch Producer. Sein neuestes Werk „bread“ hat er mit dem Münchner F.I.E.L.D.Y zusammen arrangiert und ist auf dem Label „Ritter Butzke Studio“ erschienen … für den Remix konnte kein geringerer als Acid Pauli überzeugt werden.

A live recording of my set at the Press-Play theme camp at this year's Afrikaburn 2019.  The set is a combination of tech house, progressive house and some minimal techno.  This was a completely unplanned set and I just went with the energy I got from the people on the dance floor.  One of my favorite sets at Afrikaburn 2019.
The combination of good energy, quality sound and lighting resulted in a great vibe at this camp! It was truly a music, sound and lighting experience.  Smiles all round and a ton og stomping feet!  So much so that smoke machines was never needed! One to to remember!

What a pleasure it was to open the forest stage on NYE for this Wildwood. After such a turbulent preceding 48 hours, It was an enormous relief that we were able to return to site after we had been evacuated due to extreme fire danger in the area.

This set is full of downtempo multicultural groove, a splash of jazz, a few tracks made with my handpan, and an emotive ending to cap off what has been a year of building and growth for me musically as well as personally.

DJ Kitten (Nitin Khanna) grew up in India listening to Bollywood music, ghazals, and ragas.  He came to the US in 1989 and in 2010 he attended his first Burning Man and heard electronic music for the first time in his life. Since then he has been madly in love with House music listening to it for several hours a day each day. Now, there is an inner creative voice that is passionately calling out to him to both mix this music and potentially even produce it.  And he is following that passionate voice in his heart to where it takes him.
