a lot of people asked me for the set i played when i opened for subvert last week, so here it is! most of the tracks my friends made or remixed and the rest im just into right now. some are from the dope artists i partied with at Shambhala. i might of messed up the order a bit but its all there recorded in one shot. its not perfect but give it a listen and maybe it will make your head bob and your nose scrunch at least once. i was gunna have a voiceover at the break in the middle or split it into two sets, but im just too damn lazy and its easier to DL and burn to a disc this way :)  track list coming right after my hangovers over. lol

What an absolutely amazing year! So much love for my supporters and for all event crew! It was a dream come true to play the Pagoda stage this year at Shambhala! Thanks everyone who came and rinsed it up with us!

What A Hoot

A true veteran, Kona has been putting in work in the electronic music for over 2 decades now and has established himself as one of the premier House producers in the Okanagan. Beginning to DJ at the age 16, he was fascinated and inspired by the artistic beauty and challenge that being behind two turntables offered. With a constant need to be challenged and the urge to make people move uncontrollably on the dance floor, Kona quickly discovered his love for electronic music! Initially being drawn to the sounds of garage and speed garage and their large warped bass lines, he quickly discovered fidget. His love for the bouncy, grimy, funky, melodies and hypnotic low ends that fidget offered is was what lead him on a musical journey that would end with the discovery of G-House. A perfectionist at heart Kona was always searching for that "perfect sound". When he could not find it he took matter into his own hands and started producing 8 years ago. Incorporating the hip hop elements of G House, he slowed down the fidget bass lines and incorporated the gallop from Garage drums and added elements of UK house to create what he has dubbed "Coast House" . With live performances spanning across Globe and releases on international labels such G-Mafia Records and Immoral Records Kona has solidified himself as a world class artist
