As we recognize Pride Month, it's an opportunity to honor the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community to the rich history of dance music. From the early days of disco to modern house and techno, dance music has been deeply intertwined with the LGBTQ+ community and its culture. Not only has dance music been a form of expression and liberation, but also an opportunity for marginalized communities to come together and celebrate their identities.

Today, we want to recognize the countless queer artists, producers, and DJs who have pushed the boundaries of dance music and created the soundscapes that we love. We honor the pioneers who paved the way for queer representation in the industry and remember the LGBTQ+ community's fight for equality both on and off the dance floor. Let's continue to create spaces for inclusion, diversity, and self-expression and dance with pride this month and beyond. Happy Pride Month!" 

This month Artist, we would like to introduce you to Theresa Schultz.


Theresa Schultz is originally from New Jersey, and she has been a music lover since childhood. She learned to play several instruments at a young age, which fueled her passion for music. Later on, she was introduced to mixing and production, and it sparked an obsession in her.

Now, Theresa is known as DJ Decoy, and she has played all over Nashville and the surrounding areas. Her music has a way of getting hips shaking and putting people in a mood to dance. Her love of music and DJing is evident in every performance she gives.

As a member of the LGBTQ community, Theresa is committed to supporting and advocating for all members of the community. She understands the importance of Pride Month and the significance of showcasing LGBTQ artists. That's why the mix she made was so special to her. All the artists featured in her mix are members or fierce advocates of the LGBTQ community. For Theresa, this was not a task that she took lightly and she was honored for the opportunity to support the community in this way.
