Coming Home #2 features cuban singer and percussionist Eribertho Cruz. A live session we recorded at our summer residency at Blue Marlin Ibiza 2025. 

Coming Home stands for a return to my musical roots, back to art and culture. When I first started out as a Hip Hop DJ in 1991, spinning records in smoky basements, it was all about music, passion, and the joy of discovering sounds — sharing them with others and experiencing the moment together. We gathered in record stores, searching for the latest releases, and through music we connected.

I was fortunate to grow up in Vienna during a time when nights were shaped by a wild variety of styles — from Dope Beats, Soul, Funk, Afro, Disco, Dub, House, Breakbeats, Drum & Bass to all kinds of forward-thinking electronic music. I experienced the first illegal techno parties, as I was too young entering officially clubs and I had good connection to record stores showing me the hot stuff on Vinyl. It was a journey filled with incredible encounters — people who opened doors that later became life-changing — and always guided by the emotional grounding that music provided.

A lot of this foundation comes from my family. My grandmother showed me music’s power as an emotional anchor in a world that could often feel heavy. After long school days, she would play the piano for hours, teaching me that music is not just sound, but pure emotion — my deepest love. My uncle, on the other hand, sparked my obsession with high-fidelity systems, teaching me how to truly appreciate records in all their quality and detail.

These influences shaped the way I listen, create, and share music. Now, nearly three decades later, I can look back on a journey filled with collaborations, discoveries, and experiences that I carry into every project. It feels like the right time to give back, to pass on the knowledge, energy, and love that music has given me.

🇬🇧  For this sixth edition of OPÊ, I’m honored to present K’you, a French producer and DJ whose musical journey has unfolded across France, Mexico, and the Canary Islands.

His story began between France and Mexico City, where he became part of the project Lemont Mint alongside Rafa Navajas, and later the duo Djeko & K’you, known for their distinctive blend of Tropical House and Deep Disco.
For nearly a decade, these projects led him to some of Mexico’s most influential festivals and clubs — M.N. Roy, Bahidorá, Gitano Tulum, Vaivén — and to release more than ten Disco House tracks on respected labels such as Midnight Riot (UK), Spa In Disco (ES), Rare Wiri (ES) and Super Spicy (MX).

After this chapter, K’you embarked on a new path in the Canary Islands, where he is now based. Since 2023, he has been developing his solo project, inspired by the islands and their cultural closeness to Africa — evolving naturally towards a deeper Afro House sound while keeping his unmistakable tropical essence.
His recent works include DAIMA (YHV Records) and NUYORICANO & CAYO COCO, in collaboration with Suagar (Futura Groove Records).

He is also the creator of SELVÁTICA, an Afro House event series that is reshaping the electronic music scene in the Canary Islands. Its success gave rise to SELVÁTICA Records, his own imprint and a platform dedicated to supporting emerging and local talent.

This Guest Mix captures all of that journey and influence: roots, movement, warmth, and evolution.

🇪🇸  Para esta sexta entrega de OPÊ tengo el honor de presentar a K’you, productor y DJ francés con un recorrido musical profundamente ligado a Francia, México y las Islas Canarias.

Su historia comenzó entre Francia y Ciudad de México, donde formó parte del proyecto Lemont Mint junto a Rafa Navajas, y del dúo Djeko & K’you, conocido por su inconfundible mezcla de Tropical House y Deep Disco. Durante una década, estos proyectos lo llevaron a los festivales y clubes más influyentes de México —M.N. Alex Forever was created by Alex Kentucky, and today I, Rayco Santos, continue his legacy on POWERFM Turkey with the same respect and intention: keeping his sound alive. His taste, his direction and his musical vision remain the foundation of this podcast.

This week moves through a smooth, emotional deep house flow. Guy Gerber opens with a reflective touch, followed by Bruno Costa and Henrik Schwarz bringing clean groove and warmth. LP Giobbi’s remix adds a brighter lift before MoBlack and Sickluv take the set into deeper territory. Anthony Mea keeps things melodic, and the El Mundo / West & Hill remix adds that subtle organic roll. Amtrac’s “For Beaux” pushes the energy forward, with 13uxz and the Anjunadeep trio closing on a polished, atmospheric finish.

Born Laurent Garnier (It does not invent), Laurent N. has made his debut as a DJ in the early hours of Techno & House during the 90s. His skills took him to the highest level as he was one of the most advanced of his time ! It has helped him to play to some of the most prestigious places such as : Zurich : @ Supermarket Club. Italy : @ Club 178, La Betise Club, Modern Club Monaco: @ Coya, Jimmy’z, Buddah Bar, Ni Club, Stars'n'Bar, Brasserie de Monaco,  ... Cannes : for the Film Festival Opening (2005 to 2008), the Midem (2002, 2003, 2004). And the famous Plages Electroniques in 2010 where 10 000 people were attending and for the closing party of the Cross Over (Nice). With Matthias Tanzmann for the After of Les Plages Electroniques (2015). Resident for Limelight Party & Bal des Fous (1994-2014). Nice : @ the Stadium Nikaia and most of the well known clubs on the French Riviera. Festival Cross Over. Paris : @ La Loco, le Batofar, Le Queen, Le Tryptique (now Social Club) Pau : @ Why Not  Lyon : @ Sofitel Hotel (for Lounge experience). @ Coya Monaco (2019-2020) for a residency.

With his experience he also played next to some of the most known DJs in the world : Sven Vath, Jeff Mills, Dennis Ferrer, Derrick May, Josh Wink, The Hacker, Kevin Saunderson, Agoria, Maceo Plex, Marc Houle, Marc Romboy, Danny Daze, Oliver Huntemann, and many more ... Laurent N. has gained his monthly residency on 2 radio shows : Radio FG - Maxximum (once a month), Warm FM (Belgium - each Friday), who can be found on the net and offers him of 9 sessions monthly with a wide range of labels such as : Mobilee, Moon Harbour, Bar25 Music, Cadenza Music and many more .... and lot of promo pools such as Dispersion PR, Mainline, Jukebox Media, Listen Up, … with whom he collaborates. From Deep, House, Organic House, Afro House, Electro and Techno, his diversity will take you beyond the limits for as long as his fan will carry on supporting him, his music will carry on being discovered and will garanty you to make you enjoy every single one of his colourful sets! Today, Laurent N. has become one of the most known DJ on the French Riviera and he is now in constant demand ...
