DJEFF lands on Watergate Records for his anticipated first EP on the label. 

Those who know, know. DJEFF has been a symbol for quality Afro tech productions stretching back over a decade, championed by everyone from Black Coffee, to Louie Vega, Major Lazer and even Diplo. The Portuguese DJ/producer with Angolan & Cape Verdian roots has an innately soulful touch. Whether in the booth or on the buttons, he’s respected by heads and ravers alike.

We’ve had fleeting tastes of his talents on Watergate Records over the past 12 months, thanks to ‘Cloud 7’, his joyous contribution to the ‘Watergate 20’ compilation, followed by a dreamy remix of JAMIIE’s ‘Voices’ last year. ‘Ndiki’ marks his first headline effort for the imprint.

The title track sees a link up with celebrated Angolan singer Yuri Da Cunha for a timeless Afro house cut made for those spine-tingling end-of-night moments that’ll have the dancefloor grinning from ear to ear. ‘Duality Reflections’ is its accompaniment, a chugging Afro tech gem that combines a dramatic chord sequence and sweeping strings for a memorable finish. 

‘Ndiki’ gets a Mystical Edit, taking the track into deeper realms courtesy of rising Italian artist and Innervisions affiliate Ivory, before handing the baton to Xinobi and Cincity for a succession of fresh interpretations. Fellow Portuguese artist Xinobi takes the title track into heady melodic territory, crafting a rolling re-rub built around the lead synth. Meanwhile, Cincity adds her own expansive take, honing in on the melodic elements, before a rhythmic second half brings the track home. Dub versions of both Cincity and Xinobi’s remixes complete the generous package.

A deep, groovy house track with warm percussion, a hypnotic bassline, and a melody that stays in your head. “Keep it in Your Mind” brings the vibe of late summer nights on the beach – barefoot in the sand, watching the waves. Produced by Chris Krum, crafted for both club energy and seaside chill moments. 🌊🎶

His skills took him to the highest level as he was one of the most advanced of his time ! It has helped him to play to some of the most prestigious places such as : Zurich : @ Supermarket Club. Italy : @ Club 178, La Betise Club, Modern Club Monaco: @ Buddah Bar, Ni Club, Stars'n'Bar, Brasserie de Monaco ... Cannes : for the Film Festival Opening (2005 to 2008), the Midem (2002, 2003, 2004). And the famous Plages Electroniques in 2010 where 10 000 people were attending and for the closing party of the Cross Over (Nice). With Matthias Tanzmann for the After of Les Plages Electroniques (2015). Resident for Limelight Party & Bal des Fous (1994-2014). Nice : @ the Stadium Nikaia and most of the well known clubs on the French Riviera. Festival Cross Over. Paris : @ La Loco, le Batofar, Le Queen, Le Tryptique (now Social Club) Pau : @ Why Not  Lyon : @ Sofitel Hotel (for Lounge experience). @ Coya Monaco (2019-2020) for a residency. With his experience he also played next to some of the most known DJs in the world : Sven Vath, Jeff Mills, Dennis Ferrer, Derrick May, Josh Wink, The Hacker, Kevin Saunderson, Agoria, Maceo Plex, Marc Houle, Marc Romboy, Danny Daze, Oliver Huntemann, and many more ... Laurent N. has gained his monthly residency on 3 radio shows : Nice Radio (Nice - each week), Warm FM (Belgium - each Friday), House Nation (each week), who can be found on the net and offers him of 10 or 12 sessions monthly with a wide range of labels such as : Mobilee, Rush Hour, Bpitch Control, Soma and many more .... and lot of promo pools such as Dispersion PR, For The Records, Mainline, Jukebox Media, Listen Up, … with whom he collaborates. From Jazz, Lounge, Trip Hop, House, Minimal, Electro and Techno, his diversity will take you beyond the limits for as long as his fan will carry on supporting him, his music will carry on being discovered and will garanty you to make you enjoy every single one of his colourful sets!  Today, Laurent N. has become one of the most known DJ on the French Riviera and he is now in constant demand ...
