Giancarlo Live at Four Elements Campout RIPEcast 2023

Vital Signs is a new collaborative adventure for Rob Cutler (DJ Surgeon) and Ingrid Hakanson, inspired by their shared love of electronic music and each other. The name is a play on Rob's DJ handle and the fact that Ingrid is a health care worker by day. They were planning to release their first mix together when the Bass Coast applications opened. Both Rob and Ingrid are Bass Coast alumni and long time lovers and attendees of the festival, so they think this would be a perfect opportunity to debut Vital Signs. Sharing the decks with a fun mix of house, breaks, and garage, and with Ingrid doing live vocals sprinkled through their sets, Vital Signs is sure to delight listeners and increase their heart rates!

Endless Horizons is a journey through the sounds of the day. These 24 carefully curated selections embody the energy and mood of each passing hour and offer a glimpse into PK’s eclectic tastes and his ability to seamlessly mix across multiple genres. 

The set begins with the rising sun, bringing warm soothing vocals and deep house sounds, while the heat of midday provides pushy rhythm patterns and breakbeats. With the setting sun comes uplifting melodies that seamlessly transition into tribal drum patterns and set a deeper tone for twilight. As darkness descends, heavy hitting bass lines, uptempo tech house and hypnotic grooves become the focus. And as the dawn gradually ascends, smooth deep sounds and profound vocals welcome the new day.

Patrick Kelly’s creative use of vocal samples, effects, and looping drum lines have allowed him to create a completely unique sound and style unlike anything else.  The introduction of his unreleased remix of Bicep-Glue and Inner City-Good Life toward the end of Endless Horizons fully showcases his technical skills and creativity.

The original ‘GirlOnWax’ DJ Leanne is proud to celebrate 30 years of DJing House Music (in 2024). She LOVES spinning her infectious brand of funky, dirty, bass-line friendly Deep & Tech House, which is her true passion! In 2023 she DJ'ed opening sets for some of her House Music heroes: DJ Sneak, DJ Heather & Derrick Carter. She had the honour of spinning on The Living Room stage at The Shambhala Music Festival (2022) and the Groove Cruise (Miami: 2020 & 2019). Over the course of 30 years of DJing, Leanne has spun opening sets for some of the biggest names in House Music: Mark Farina, Kenny Glasgow, Kaskade, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Boy George, Armand Van Helden, Roy Davis Jr & Miguel Migs, to name a few. 
She is currently resident DJ with Victoria's Footwork Entertainment crew and has held over 10 nightclub DJ residencies in Vancouver at venues like The Lotus, Shine, Celebrities Nightclub & Sonar Cabaret in her DJ career so far. In 2000 she created Western Canada’s first DJ School 'The Rhythm Institute'. She's taught 500+ students with her carefully curated 'DJ 101' curriculum at several DJ Schools & workshops in the Lower Mainland including 'Table Tutors' & 'School of Mix'. Leanne began her DJ career with a degree in broadcasting and has produced & hosted the popular underground House Music radio shows 'Fresh Air' (2000-2003) & 'GirlOnWax Radio' (2013-2017). You can catch her vocals on tracks by House Music producers Jay Tripwire, Buck & Taho + she's co-produces + sings vocals with Mostly Yoshi. 
DJ Leanne is currently the CEO of the critically acclaimed DJ company 'GirlOnWax Entertainment' where she manages talented DJs & Musicians with a mainly female DJ & Musician roster. DJ Leanne Career Highlights: Opening DJ set for The Red Hot Chili Peppers; DJ’ing for Sarah McLachlan on the Lilith Fair tour and DJ'ing an event for Prince William, Kate Middleton and the PM.
