Lix started DJ’ing early in 2006, and his roots in the electronic scene run long and deep. His musical journey initially began with a love of breaks in the early vinyl days and then inevitably transitioned to funky house. Once he found his niche in the house music scene a unique brand and style of house began to flow and Lix was born. His style contains funky, deep, Chicago, driving, jacking and even nu-disco elements and has a unique signature sound. He engages the crowd in his sets and his passion for the music shows in his performances. Playing music festivals and club nights throughout Western Canada for the last decade he has proven to be a crowd favorite. Previous residencies include clubs such as Habitat (Calgary), NightOwl (Calgary) The Aurora (Banff), Ubu Lounge (Calgary), SAM’s (Calgary) and more; as well as shows at numerous festivals throughout Western Canada that have cemented his reputation as a crowd favorite, and dance floor rocker. Currently you can see him stream live on the new startup SKRIMMF FM, live on twitch. You can always catch him representing the best house music vibe! Driven by an intense passion for the music on and off the decks he’s known for getting the dance floors moving and will not disappoint!
