Hiplife music entered the music scene in Ghana in the early 2000s and has climaxed since then. Dj Lord in his new series of mixes dubbed “Rewind” brings together all the songs we danced to, and enjoyed, dating as far back as when you started listening to music.

In this new mix titled REWIND 3, Dj Lord exhibits finesse and shows fans yet again, that there is more to mixing than just picking a song because it works. This mix features a series of fan favourites from the mid 2000s.

Listeners of this mix get to enjoy songs from artistes who have lasted and endured everything this industry has to offer. Being the third mix to be released under the REWIND collective, the mix starts off in a low tempo and climbs steadily, keeping listeners transfixed throughout.

Adjudged as the ‘King Of Mixtapes’ in Ghana for his impressive plethora of DJ mix bags, DJ Lord endeavours strive to retain this title designated to him by his listeners and fans. By doing so, he incurses into the latest club hits and dance floor scorchers from Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa.

In some parts of the mix, he ranges over the parameters of the latest Afrobeat hits to re-introduce some Afro-infused classics, wavering listeners between present and past. DJ Lord employs the use of unique effects and pristine transitions which perks up the overtone of the euphonious mixtape.

The 23rd June mixtape series is a crucial annual project under the umbrella of DJ Lord’s mixtapes as it tends to celebrate his birthday.

DJ Neizer has arrived with his latest anticipated afrobeats project, AfroMass IV. DJ Neizer particularly introduces a singular sound incorporating leading afrobeats tracks, Ghanaian drill, and elements of afro-soul across the Continent. As the fourth rendition of the award winning DJ's annual series, AfroMass IV invokes a sense of feeling good, freedom, cultural liberation, and an escape from the present time.

Ghanaian disc jockey Lord Barnes widely known as DJ Lord started his career as a DJ 10 years back and from that point forward he has been making tremendous strides .

He was formerly the official DJ of the Live Breakfast Club (LBC) on Live 91.9fm from Monday to Friday (6am-9am) with renowned radio presenters Jay Foley and Jeremie and also Magnom’s official DJ.


He’s graced some of the top-most shows and concerts in Ghana in the past year. He played the S Concert, Ghana Meets Naija , MTN Pulse campus activations amongst others. Earlier this year , he toured Rwanda, Uganda and Mauritius with Magnom where they both excelled in their respective fields , raising the Ghanaian flag high.

In 2016 , he won an honor for the Best Campus DJ at the Ghana Tertiary Awards. He also won the Ghana DJ Awards mixtape of the year in 2022 and proceeded to winning the mixtape of the year, Southern Best DJ and the overall best DJ in 2023.  In 2024, he won the highly coveted 3 Music Awards DJ of the Year. Also in 2024, he won the overall best DJ and Best DJ—Greater Accra at the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards. He has worked with a few artists: Feli Nuna, Magnom, Darko Vibes, Lord Paper , Frank P, King Promise & more.
