Close to Custom, born about 30 years ago on the dune grounds of Katwijk. A
a place where there really was no scene for electronic music.
When he started making music, he wanted to go in a totally different direction.
Soon he and his friends were attracted to house music. They wanted to make
tasty, funky and especially danceable records. Full of passion Close to Custom
made his first records on his equipment in 2010.

Soon followed trips to the Netherlands and abroad to be inspired by
the scene there. After searching for clubs in London and Berlin, among other things, he knew for sure; this music, this experience and such an atmosphere. I also want to get that. In 2014 came the great opportunity that Close to Custom and his friends Fyrone and Den Haas had to take. The local music venue was recently renovated and looked for new concepts to fill evenings. The men took the opportunity and started their own minimal house concept, Reset. Against all odds, the evening became a huge success.

Without doubt, these nights inspired him to fully focus on the future, and develop his own production which now resides into a minimal house sound, mainly driven by fast-rolling grooves catchy hooks and deep bass sounds.

Lucas Alexander is no ordinary artist. With a mixture of heritage from Wales to Jamaica, the fusion of his upbringing is far from short in his music.

Cutting his teeth early on House & Garage he would travel for hours from his hometown in Cardiff with his record bag in tow to play gigs in Manchester and further. 

Over the last ten years he has honed his craft becoming a regular in the Welsh dance music scene playing alongside every heavyweight under the sun. A graduate of the university of UKG, Lucas Alexander’s perfected a new sound merging Minimal, Garage and Tech House, with his glitched-out, playful 4:4 tracks making their way into the sets of Tristan Da Cunha & Brawther aka Dungeon Meat, Enzo Siragusa, Truly Madly, Appetite's Elliot Schooling & Liam Palmer, Fish56Octagon, Danny Howard, Jamie Jones, Sarah Story, Silva Bumpa, Richy Ahmed, and many more. 

Born and raised in Cardiff, the Jamaican-Welsh artist’s early years were influenced by dubstep, Jungle and UKG. That playfulness shines through his expert productions, which are full of sampled British chit-chat and unexpected yet perfectly-timed cracked-up beats. 

With releases on his own imprint Rarebit records as well Seven Dials, Four Thirty Two, HE.SHE.THEY, a collab with DJ Deeon on Nervous Records, and a remix of Todd Edwards on Defected Records among others, Lucas is on a mission to put Wales on the map and firmly stake his claim of the Dance Music scene.
