For Brisbane-based Harry Hope, better known as Odd Mob, there are no limits in sight as he goes from strength to strength with every innovative production. Odd Mob broke through with the ubiquitous 2014 track ‘Is It A Banger’, a track that resonated with Australian listeners, charting in triple j’s ‘Hottest 100’ and has since amassed over 7 million streams across platforms. We come together once again to showcase Aterral's growth over the last year with an undeniably hard-hitting compilation. Our fourth anniversary VA is special, as it brings forth some of our most recent family members and puts them aside older ones.

As part of CUATRO we bring you Black Loops with 'Balance & Harmony', an elegant blend of eclectic sounds and a jerky guitar wah. Carlo & Baloo follow with 'Best Maldito', a track bursting with an infectious rhythm. Intr0beatz’s 'Where The Party At' delves into ambient depth with rippling synths. Marina Trench delivers 'Because We', featuring a playful piano melody and upbeat energy that pushes boundaries with its lively touch.

Caleb Jackson’s 'The Partylife' fuses high energy, gospel influences, and an acidic bassline. Tatie Dee & Ams contribute 'Underwater', a futuristic, bubbly piece with progressive elements. Emanuele Barilli’s 'Midnight Forty' takes us back to the 90s with a trance-infused, breakbeat house sound that resonates with nostalgia. Wilza is proud to announce the upcoming release of his highly anticipated four-track EP, “New Jack House Vol. 1,” set to drop on his own label, SwingBeat Records. The streaming release date is set for Dec 20th! 
This vibrant release is a bold tribute to the genre that inspired it—New Jack Swing—delivering a fresh twist on its timeless sound for the electronic music scene. 

New Jack Swing, a genre that masterfully blended R&B, hip-hop, and funk, dominated the airwaves in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. But despite its rich legacy, it has remained surprisingly underexplored in the realm of electronic music. Enter Wilza, who has made it his mission to revive and reimagine the genre, transforming its infectious grooves and soulful melodies into modern dancefloor anthems.

“There’s a magic to New Jack Swing that I feel has been slept on,” says Wilza. “While many genres have been reinvented in electronic music, this one hasn’t had its moment in the spotlight. ‘New Jack House Vol. 1’ is my way of bringing these classics back into the conversation—nostalgic yet redefined for today’s audience.”
