An exclusive podcast has arrived at DJ Mag HQ courtesy of respected dnb artist Ashley Tindall aka Skeptical.

With releases on top UK labels such as Dispatch, Renegade Hardware and Broken Audio, Tindall has gained much acclaim as a DJ and producer of a distinctly sophisticated shade of dnb.

Also a closely associate of dBridge's Exit Records, the London-based producer has dropped a pearl onto the label's latest compilation album, 'Mosaic Volume 2', in the form of 'Eyes Down' (out now).

While K-Pop might have replaced J-Pop in the affections of the West, it hasn't daunted The Japanese Popstars - who are Northern Irish after all. Recently joining the stables of Bedrock, where they're personally fed and watered by Digweed before he tethers and settles them for the night (probably), last single 'Disconnect/Reconnect' was a statement of intent. Urgent, edgy, millennial electro with big room bollocks, it's backed on this podcast by plenty more originals, including Green Velvet collab 'Matter of Time', as well as equally broad shouldered efforts from Tiefschwarz and Kölsch. It's fair to say that Justin Robertson is a bit of leg-end. Working behind the counter of record shop Eastern Bloc in Manchester in the early '90s, he's gone on to perform on Top of the Pops as Lionrock, remixed acts like Bjork and the Happy Mondays, and played everything from dub to techno at the world's finest nightspots. His latest production project as The Deadstock 33s, following aliases such as Gentleman Thief and Revtone, mixes up gritty post-punk disco leftism with a house, techno and electro edge, exactly what you'll find on this podcast. So if you like it, book yourself a flight as Justin will be playing at Unknown in Croatia, which takes place from 10th - 14th September.

Leicester duo Claire and Leon, aka Him_Self_Her, proved that two are better than one when their 2012  single 'Gone Too Long' got the support of both Pete Tong – as his Essential New Tune – and Jaime Jones, who played it at the closing of Paradise. Never far away from the action, Damian Lazarus has since signed the pair to Crosstown Rebels meaning imminent success beckons, with a single and album on the way. 

Showcasing their blend of modern vocal house and moody bass, this podcast pits the likes of fresh UK talent Midland alongside Green Velvet's tales from the dark side.
