Long-time Chicago native and house champion Chicago Skyway is the latest welcomed artist for the Chubby! Podcast.

Sean Hernandez has been producing for the past near 15 years releasing EP's on some of the best underground labels around.
 He has multiple releases on the iconic label M>O>S Recordings, the highly-regarded Uzuri, Emphasis and Eargasmic labels among others.. But these fruitful years were first supported by being a fan of the music for another 15 years prior to writing his own. A solid foundation of learning the history of the genre while being an avid collector and DJ is in our eyes, the best way to come up. Learn what has been done so you have something to say. And to find the inspiration to express your own point of view. Sean has earned his stripes like that. Naturally, being a fan of house and techno will take root and express themselves through the personality of the producer. Chicago Skyway is that outlet's name. The music is energetic, infectious and full of treated house sophistication. A party music for the future that's balanced with the origins of the classics. Scottish DJ and producer Nick Moore is Linkwood, someone who applies a master craftsmen and hugely artistic approach to everything he does. Because of this, he has a reputation for fantastically deep house that is magically ornamental, resplendent with atmospheric ambiance and littered with moving melody. He releases on local label Firecracker and its sub label Shevnchenko, and most recently offered up the tripled vinyl delights of his second album, Expressions. 

Now he is taking up the mantel on our podcast series and serves up just over an hour of sumptuous sound. Despite being a relatively short set, the Scot manages to cram a lot in, from dub techno to intergalactic deep house via spaced out jams and intricately melodic tech. Importantly, every record he reaches for bares all the hallmarks of that emotive Linkwood sound we all know and love, so stick it on and allow yourself to get lost at the hands of a real master.

Awesome Awesome Awesome!! Jes one Tossed me this tape back at the Groove Shop in Rockford back when it was on Broadway back in the day. Out of all the house music mixes I have heard this one here has to be in my ultimate top 5. I can never get sick of this one. One of my favorite tracks on this one.. towards the end Ron Trent Movement.. I have listed as a separate track on my site.. enjoy.. :) 4/24/20  Sad news to report. Mike has passed away, again the beat paused to reflect upon once again the passing of another great house DJ. I am honored to present this mix here, Even Mike himself as you can see even commented  on it. RIP Mike Huckaby, one of the greats.
