DJ Mag Fresh Kicks

Here is my mix for Bicep's FMB Mixtape series. The whole thing takes place within a range of 130 – 140 BPM and is dancefloor focused. I wanted to keep it cohesive and go energetic/heavier in parts. Plenty of unreleased tunes from me and my friends, and also lots of bassy four-to-the-floor bits that I’m playing atm alongside some older music and a tinge of techno stuff. One of the more exciting acts to come out of San Francisco in 10 years just dropped in on our show this week. After a bit of a chase we finally caught up with Baalti who shared some exclusive music with us along with their methods and magic surrounding their live set. Both Mihir Chauhan and Jaiveer Singh have also spent a long time digging for rare and obscure Indian music that has not yet been spliced and sampled on end. In their live set they incorporate these sonic treasures they play proudly.
