AZ shadow is the first album in the catalog of our label "Der Schein". Its  author is the resident of our project — Ilya Gurin-Babayeu. The album is the result of ghostly nostalgia and an attempt to comprehend  the nature of chaos. The initial inspiration was found in the childhood computer game «Zanzarah.  

The Hidden Portal» The most important context for understanding is an  excerpt from the description of the game: «One of the druids, the White Druid, created the Guardian, a semi-magical, semi-mechanical creature that began to guard the border between the worlds. 

Time passed and the Guardian's magical powers dried up and he broke down - instead of protecting, he became aggressive towards those he was  supposed to protect. Chaos began to spread in Zanzarah.» 

Allusions at locations and events taking place in the mystical world of  Zanzarah resonate with the sensations experienced from all aspects real life. There is a parallel between childhood memories of the magical world and a  completely unfamiliar feeling of homeland, which has changed beyond  recognition in one year. 
The album is imbued with fabulousness, asymmetry, sometimes with a literal  feeling of the composition structure crumbling before the listener's eyes. As it disintegrates, it then returns back to strike with even greater force.

Whisperers EP

Berlin-based STRISC. is a mysterious techno figure that has been making headlines thanks to an output of no-compromise productions that have garnered him the respect and attention of techno aficionados and peers alike. STRISC. began releasing on Flash Recordings before launching his very own first imprint, named STRISCTRX. Now, he launches a second label called PURE HATE, and does it in style with Slave To Society aka Andrew Bowenm one half of AnD, providing the debut EP which includes a remix from industrial techno heavyweight Perc.

The Path Of Self Destruction EP’ consists of 4 original tracks which provide the perfect blueprint for the label's debut release. Across the four original tracks, listeners can expect to hear a varied number of dramatic, hard-hitting soundscapes, focusing on the industrial, bleeding edge, razor-sharp, metallic, experimental, raw and stomping sounds that Slave To Society has been known for. This EP highlights just what we can expect PURE HATE to stand for in future releases to come, a testament that the label means serious business in this niche of techno.

Rounding off the EP, Slave To Society and PURE HATE couldn't have asked for a more suitable remixer than British Industrial Techno pioneer Ali Wells aka Perc. Here, Perc steps up to remix lead track "Path Of Self Destruction" delivering a rendition that is synonymous with the quality of productions that have catapulted both him as a producer and his Perc Trax label to the forefront of the techno scenes both in the UK and throughout the world.

To mark the occasion there will be a 9 hour fundraising live stream on Saturday from 3pm featuring some of Glasgow’s finest selectors in isolation. On what will be a fantastic day for dance music lovers, Glasgow’s Riverside Festival, along with Soma Records, will also be releasing an exclusive, good causes charity single featuring remixes by 3 of the scene-leaders in house, techno and electronic. Spreading positive vibes through music with their isolation interpretations of Slam’s genre-defining underground anthem 'Positive Education' are the inimitable Paula Temple, the mighty Skream and the maverick JD Twitch of Optimo.

The live stream will be available via Be-At TV on Facebook and Youtube, with donations encouraged to a trio of charities and initiatives to enable them continue to do amazing work supporting some of the most vulnerable in our society : Glasgow’s Children Hospital, Tech Device Network, (launched by RF20 & Soma Records publicist Jenn Nimmo-Smith to keep loved ones in care connected with video calling devices) and the emergency PPE manufacturing and distribution initiative Vise Up which was launched by Glasgow’s renowned arts & music venue SWG3.

Amelie Lens’ EXHALE imprint launches with a myriad of uncompromising techno tracks from the underground’s finest established and aspiring artists. 

EXHALE’s much anticipated first release continues the legacy of the EXHALE event series with a fifteen original track compilation featuring old and new friends from each avenue of the underground. With a shared love of rave culture, the label is a platform for the forward-thinking while simultaneously paying homage to foundations of techno. With this in mind, Amelie gathers familiar faces and upcoming artists to deliver the future sounds of techno. 

Spanning to each dark corner of the technosphere, the compilation fosters a range of sound that exhibits each artist’s production taste and background. @amelielens & EXHALE events mainstay @airodmusic open proceedings with the ascending ‘Adrenaline’, featuring acid lines and hypnotic vocals, with Spanish techno veteran @regalmusic driving on with authoritative speed and neurotic alarms in ‘Spreading the Cult’. Following his debut on LENSKE, Amelie welcomes @ahl-iver to bring an acid flavour to this compilation along with French talent @feliciemusic, who builds tension early on with raucous track ‘The Devil Himself’. @utobscure0010 & @shdw-music follow with ‘Brennende Erde’, inducing a state of trance with whirring atmospherics. 

Next up is notable Berlin based producer @klangkuenstler with ‘Engelsblut’, an oscillation of stabbing keys, sinister drones and unrelenting hi-hats before transitioning into ‘Take Two’ from @remy-x, whom Amelie discovered after his stand-out EP on Coincidence Records last year. DJ/Producer at the forefront of French techno @antigone proceeds with ‘U Tell Me’, along with @brecc who incorporates industrial elements and thundering bass with track ‘Vox’, continuing with Antwerp producer @lukasfirtzer’s ‘Excessus’, packed with shifting percussions and tenacious melodies. 

Purveyor of modular techno @mrdmrdmrd combines layered atmospherics and euphoric pads in ‘Reach my hand’, followed by Mehen (aka @hadonesector) who maintains pace with his rendering ‘Broken Whisper’, with a disorentiating and melody driven expedition from @francoisx next to switch up momentum. Promising upcoming Dutch producer @gracedahl ensues with the merciless ‘Vermilion Empire’, while production virtuoso @dyenmusic nods to EXHALE’s roots in rave culture with ‘Fantasy’, a medley of spiked vocals and ethereal synths that maintain the energy until the final kick.
