Paramida returns with her second EP ‘Moonrise VII’, touching down on Love On The Rocks just in time for summer with 3 cuts of hands in the air, good time house, F1 tunnel rave and emotional dream house; her signature take on colourful, dreamy trance-inflected visions of the dance floor in full, untethered effect.

Sailor Moon House, inspired by the cult 90s anime series of the same name, is what would happen if Sailor Moon made house music: beautiful, colorful chaos energy; the sound of a dancefloor collectively nodding their heads, tapping their feet and losing their minds on a Sunday afternoon at Panorama Bar, on an infinity cruise to pure joy. Kawaii! Hypercolor trance clouds break to a shiny new dawn of driving rhythms, cheeky acid bass hooks and searching sonar pings, setting course for a masterclass in feeling good, sunrise filtering in through the blinds, leaving a sea of happy faces and twinking ecstasy trails in its wake. 

Space Ride finds Paramida in heist mode: a high-speed 8-minute car chase that swerves its way through dimly lit rave tunnels in the dead of night, leaving just the acid traces of its heavily chopped trance stabs to electrify the no-nonsense, pounding kick drum and groove workout, punctuated by abrupt u-turns via razor-edged rave corners, leaving the dance floor in the dust. Sampling SYT’s 1995 progressive trance track ‘Drift’ on Chris Hillman’s UK-based label Magick Eye Records, which has been serving up psychedelic trance, deep dub, downtempo and ambient since 1991, this track came about over the course of a year via a random Shazam/Hör-related chain of events that led to the original artists involvement, blessing Paramida’s edit and rework to re-introduce their lost jam to a new generation, with new bells and whistles, maxed out for ‘22. Seatbelts on!

33 is something completely different: 3 minutes and 41 seconds of shapeshifting, heavy-lifting ambient dream house that threatens to build into a massive emotional crying-on-the-dancefloor moment but instead flips gears before dropping you back in to a life-affirming, pure ecstasy bliss, the sound of the warmest, connected chemical embrace channelled into a sublime 221 seconds of being alive.

Over the past decade, Kasra V has blossomed as a prominent figure in the music industry, particularly through his renowned residency on NTS Radio which has expanded his profound knowledge and expertise in music. Since landing his radio residency in January 2014 he has successfully broadcast over 200 radio shows, making use of the format to explore a wide array of sonic attitudes, styles and systems.

To celebrate his achievement Kasra V launches his own imprint V-Sion which he will not only use for his own release output but also to propel his vision of contemporary dance music. To kick things off he presents a stunning 9-track compilation ’10:10 Kasra V presents 10 years on NTS Radio’ featuring unreleased tracks from some of his most revered guests who have graced his show throughout the years. Each contribution is wholly in line with Kasra V’s genre-spanning approach.

Over the years some periods have seen him playing straightforward club music, others featuring an extended notion of listening music. One hears a whole breadth of influences in his releases on acclaimed labels such as Radiant Records and Shaytoon Records: collected strands of rave, acid house, San Francisco breakbeat, new beat, ambient, oddball pop from 90s and 80s, UK bleep and so on. The regularity of a broadcasting residency pushed him to carry out a constant study of the history of dance music, and he envisions V-Sion as an output to curate musical output, contributing to the ongoing dialogue between past, future and the ever-changing fulcrum of the sonic present.

The tracks presented on 10:10 are also emblematic of this historically-informed approach to dance music. They are all tuned for the floor, but present a range of possible floors to conjure: Fantastic Man’s progressive opener, “Neural Filter”, is airy and laced with delicate breakbeats, while “Archangel Waltz” by Sepehr presents a shadowy drama of string samples and throbbing bass swells.“Qadak” by 500SEC lays an anthemic Arabic melody over bubbling electro; 2 tracks prior, Angel D’Lite circulates a whisper and moan through the mix of a euphoric, rave-stabbed anthem. The latter encouraged Kasra to put out this very compilation, which is just a testament to the value of the company we keep.

While summer is already in full swing, we have compiled the perfect soundtrack for your sunset or sunrise parties. Here is Smiling Comp Vol.1, featuring 8 tracks that reflect our influences, ranging from Balearic and progressive to electro and trance vibes, created by local and international artists we've encountered on our travels.

The compilation opens with a progressive piano track by @breezysmusic, evoking a nostalgic vibe from years before we were even born. "Insomnia 92" is followed by "Some Magnetic Way" by @geo-taguchi, capturing the perfect Balearic summer mood. Next is @doubluremusic with "Looping Loop," a close friend who once again proves he’s a top-notch electro producer.

Some of our co-founders are also featured in the compilation, each showcasing their unique talents: "Call It a Day" by @arvemusic highlights his electro and rock inspirations, while @nairless-music makes a striking return with "Celestial Infinity," ideal for an afternoon in Tisno for those in the know.

We then enter peak dancefloor euphoria with the progressive "Spellbound," the debut release from @eclectic_elektra! @aidenfrancis needs no introduction; his energetic "Pomona Beach" definitely sets the tone for an endless summer. Finally, our dear friend @shader_dj perfectly closes this compilation with "Nighcrawler," leading us into a trancey and nostalgic atmosphere until the end of the night.
