Hell Yeah's debut Buena Onda compilation proved hugely successful. It alskept people drenched in exotic dance floor sounds while the pandemic has kept everyone apart. Now the Berlin-based party is back and on a mission to redefine what Balearic means with a first-ever vinyl-only sampler featuring exclusive, unreleased tunes and remixes compiled by Marco Gallerani and Gallo from brothers around the world.

The a-side is all about new kids on the block: Australian cyborg disco don Kayroy appeared on the label in 2020 with his Imaginary Expeditions EP and now links with his friend Jaspar Robinson, a dreamer with his head amongst the stars. He provides the vocals which speak of an astronaut lost in space and aching for a missing loved one while sombre chords and downbeat bass make for a beautifully longing groove. It's a blue-eyed Balearic classic.
 
The up-and-coming Italian @Feel-Fly of labels like Internasjonal then goes widescreen with his 'Esperanto'. The chords shimmer, the baseline percolates and the guitar riffs arc up to the heavens for some late-night intergalactic bliss.

The flip side features more mature and established artists: label regular Max Essa offers a remix of The Vendetta Suite 'Neon Secrets,' which has naive Eastern melodies and rueful 80s chords with a subtle new age feel that dumps you right on the beach at sundown.

Last of all come Chris Coco and Micko Roche with true-school Balearic classic complete with cicada-like shakers, mellifluous Spanish guitar licks, flutes and soft, frothy, rolling beats that break like waves on a sun-kissed Mediterranean coastline.

Buena Onda - Balearic Beats 2021 Sampler 1 offers something for every hour of the day, making this a perfectly functional 12" for the modern Balearic DJ.

AVA. Records celebrates its 10th anniversary with 52 artists. 10 Yahre is a 4LP compilation housing 22 tracks, a printed 30 pages magazin and a mixed CD. All wrapped in a custom made silkscreen sleeve, also including a textile keychain and stickers. Sonically spanning from ambient to techno, 10 Yahre carries new and exclusive material, all woven around the label’s decade focus on dance floor culture, started 2011 in Cologne, Germany.

For our ninth offering we are delighted to welcome Lisbon based artist Larry Quest to the label. Larry is an astute producer adaptable to varying styles, strong in musicality and a particular flair for soulful, jazzy touches and classy deep house music. For the ‘Mystery Herd’ release we are treated to an EP richly inspired by the natural world and the colors within. Venus Girdle enjoys ethereal pads, a strong but distant kick and swelling percussion. Asian butterfly Alpine Black Swallowtail informs the next track, with its mountainous field-recording, gentle arpeggios and harmony of pads. Haliotis reverb swelling pads represent the waves, the synths and percussion, the spume and the bass groove embodying the sea. Nicobarica is a cool organic track with beautifully played keys, live guitar licks and a breezy rhythm section complete with rolling percussion all combining making for an infectious groove. Completing the EP is a spaced out, ambient take of Venus Girdle by Joe Morris!

Beatservice Records welcome back Third Attempt, with the fast-rising artist stepping up to remix his very own 'Sunbeam Symphony'.

The trip-hop themed original version appeared on Third Attempt's brilliant album 'The Novel Sound', with the sparkling club rework poised to introduce the music to all-new audiences.

Beyond any shadow of a doubt, Torje Fagertun Spilde – better known as Third Attempt – has been one of the most intriguing young artists to emerge in recent years. Showing a musical understanding that belies his young age, he breezily glides through genres with his carefully woven productions. His sound appears to evolve with every new release, as Beatservice Records continue to provide a nurturing platform from which he can freely develop his craft.

Here, he exhibits yet another string to his production bow, serving a gorgeously atmospheric and club remix of 'Sunbeam Symphony'. Though the hazy vibrations of the original echo through the new version in the form of the sun-drenched chords and floating motifs, the music is effortlessly reframed with dancefloors firmly in mind. Formed over a crisp house rhythm, the melodic refrains take on new life as psychedelic leads and subtle synth textures elegantly combine over sublime bass notes. The child's vocal resonates through the track, with Spilde displaying his finely-tuned knack for repurposing spoken word samples to evocative effect.

Blissful, dreamy, and with added kinetic weight, the club remix is sure to breathe new life into the already sublime 'Sunbeam Symphony'.

Their 'Ethereal Teen Dream Version' of lead track 'Downstreamed' is... well, let's just say the title is pretty apt. Flirting with transcendence but remaining tethered to the ground, the duo create a vibrant patchwork of shimmering chords.

After Brexit, we thought it would be a brave attempt to snatch the Queen's interpretational sovereignty over the colour purple. So, we have named our new record just like that. Of course, this is only half the truth, as we named all six other UV050 compilation records after colours as well. The purple one, this one right here, is the second to last, completely with the wonderful artwork by Leipzig’s Doppeldenk and four tracks to dance your ass off to.

Berlin-based Lake People does what he does best with ROAMING THE STREETS: A subtle and razor-sharp track that points out that good dance music can sweeten your life everywhere, not only in the club.

Glasgow’s Ali Herron has long been a mark of quality with his OOFT! moniker. Originally running the L.E.S.S. Productions imprint alongside The Revenge, with excursions onto labels such as Instruments of Rapture, Delusions of Grandeur and Wolf Music Ali’s steady stream of solid output moves deftly between slo-mo disco and classic house sounds. It’s the latter style that infects his Clandestino EP. Rich, lush Detroit flecked textures, sun dappled reflective cuts and soaring emotive house music all combine for a wonderfully warm EP fit for an array of moods. Clandestino don their night and day hats with their remixes, turning out both a slightly more energised take and a blissed out version respectively.
