Since releasing on Reinforced at the age of 16, Dominic Stanton has always remained one of the most influential producers in the west London broken beat scene. Those early adventures via numerous successful aliases laid the foundations for Dom's sound, eventually leading to the launch of 'Sonar's Ghost' in 2013.

Welcoming Sonar's Ghost to Metalheadz is now long overdue, so it's a pleasure to be showcasing 'The Fall and Rise Of...' as part of the Metalheadz Platinum series this July. Consisting of 5 collabs, 4 of them making the vinyl cut, the release draws inspiration from the rich heritage of jungle and breakbeat, effortlessly weaving together intricate rhythms and immersive textures. Comprised of 4 technical achievements propped up by a persistent underlying quality this is Quartz demonstrating a raw yet refreshing sound we can promise a lot more of in the coming years. Key elements of Quartz's character have seen him develop a relationship with Goldie who has been ever-present in both refining his technique and carving out a new journey that doesn't comprise in the slightest. Also featuring Artilect on 'Folding Water', the 'Coercion EP' is a fantastic reflection of Quartz's intricate approach to making music the way he wants to.

After announcing their return to the world of events post-COVID with their highly-anticipated daytime party at E1 London, which has already moved to second release (make sure you grab tickets here), Metalheadz are back with another seminal addition to their 25 Years of Metalheadz series. Charging forth at lightning pace, Part 1 presented John B’s classic ‘Up All Night’, remastered it all its shining glory and accompanied by the long-awaited Data 3 relick. Now, release-wise anyway, we look forward to Part 3, which is yet another feather in Metalheadz’s heavyweight, storied cap.

Originally released on Moving Shadow an incredible 29 years ago, this reawakening of Kaotic Chemistry’s original (aka 2 Bad Mice) sees the legendary sounds and rave-infused movements of ‘Drum Trip’ get the full 25 Years blast here. We have so much to thank the pioneering, game-changing trio for, and this is just one of many cuts that stand out from over the years. Here, Wheeler delivers a stunning, incandescent rebuild of the track in its entirety, Dublin don Detboi delivers two staggering cross-tempo remixes and Madcap supplies a typically mesmerising rollout, all featuring alongside a 2021 rebuild of the previously unreleased ‘Jupiter’, re-energised through the esteemed know-how of SCAR.
