New York House and Disco legend Eli Escobar has been releasing music for over 20 years under various aliases as well as running incredible parties and his own label Night People. We’ve been huge fans of his productions over the years and when a chance to release some of his stellar music on our Phonica main label came about, we were over the moon.

The “Find A Way EP” kicks off with “FindAWay2Day”, combining heavy hitting 808 drum work with deeply satisfying vocal samples, a beyond groovy bassline and 80s Electro-Funk galore. “Something Inside Of Me” leans towards a classic US Deep Garage House blueprint, with sampled chord stabs, mesmerising vocal hooks and MPC style swung drum programming.

Over on the B-Side, jacking House meets Deep Detroit Techno on “Down All Day” with a frenzied, chopped and replayed vocal melody melding with lush and relaxing pads until the piano line enters and pushes the track into pure euphoria. Finally “Daywun” conjures memories of the best funk of the 1980s, propelled by a bass riff that weaves through the drum hits and smacks just right, layering it with chords that feel like driving through California’s highways at midnight and an Electro Hip hop B-Boy style rap sample. The EP is a perfect combination of production highlights from House music’s influences and a modern approach with the freedom of style and genre while never sacrificing quality.

Time to welcome back Argentinian producer Manuel Sahagun to Freerange for his follow up to his brilliant 2019 release Awake. Manuel has been putting out quality house music since the early 2000’s and has released tunes on Berlin’s Tooman, UK’s Drop, and Detroit’s Kolour as well as remixing legends such as Warren ‘Hanna’ Harris, Robert Owens and Patrick Chardronnet. He brings a freshness and eclecticism to his productions that fits in perfectly with the Freerange ethos of forward-thinking house music loaded with warmth, bumping grooves and a touch of soul.

The three tracks on offer here range from the acid-tinged, 707 driven ‘Body’ through shuffled, Detroit-inspired groove of ‘Move’ and closing out on the slow-mo blissed-out Balearic mood on ‘Ritmo Pandemico’. Some great new music to keep your discerning dance floors bouncing to!

For our ninth offering we are delighted to welcome Lisbon based artist Larry Quest to the label. Larry is an astute producer adaptable to varying styles, strong in musicality and a particular flair for soulful, jazzy touches and classy deep house music. For the ‘Mystery Herd’ release we are treated to an EP richly inspired by the natural world and the colors within. Venus Girdle enjoys ethereal pads, a strong but distant kick and swelling percussion. Asian butterfly Alpine Black Swallowtail informs the next track, with its mountainous field-recording, gentle arpeggios and harmony of pads. Haliotis reverb swelling pads represent the waves, the synths and percussion, the spume and the bass groove embodying the sea. Nicobarica is a cool organic track with beautifully played keys, live guitar licks and a breezy rhythm section complete with rolling percussion all combining making for an infectious groove.

Lutz Hartmann & Clemens Kynast alias Klinke auf Cinch have a fine sense in collaborating with talented (yet unknown) artists. This time its a the great musician "Postnegative" from Africa. After a versatile EP called "Paradise" he put all his soul in this chilling deephouse track. Powerful voice, mellow pianos, a playful beat and wonderful guitar & trumpet licks. An outstanding summertrack. "I'm in love with music" is not just a claim - its an attitude. klinke auf cinch at its best.

Caffè Corretto Edits is an imprint based in the south of Italy. Their aim is to re-purpose rare oddities and hidden gems while adding modern and respectful touches. Just like its namesake, where a little brandy (or a rum for that matter) is added to your one-shot espresso for added strength and extra flavour, Caffè Corretto liven up tracks from the 70s and 80s with additional drums and synth power to heat up contemporary disco floors.

Giuseppe Fimiani and Fabio Iacono are BPlan & Fab O, respectively.  These lively DJs and talented producers are natives of Ischia, and together they have created Caffe Corretto Edits, a label that focuses purely on vinyl only afro, funk and disco gems from the past.

This fourth edition blends the best bean selection you can possibly get! Kicking off with an ‘Afro Disco’ heater that’s sure to get the party started.  ‘Chicco Reale’ is both nostalgic and funky, while on the B side ‘Discoffee’ is everything that disco should be with its rousing vocal chant, brass, and KILLER bassline. Closing out the EP is ‘ Midnight Espresso’ that will keep the dancers caffeine charged well into the late hours. Caffè Corretto Edits are ground and blended in Italy. Toy Tonics House Music from the new Kate Hudson movie! Millions of people will hear this Italo Disco House track after the new movie "Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon" will be released on 30 September. 
The song by Toy Tonics artist Rodion from Rome is part of the soundtrack for Ana Lily Amirpour's new movie.

Its a fresh take on funky house and Italian 80ies disco. No vocals just groove. Works well for dancefloors of today but also for chilled out home danceing. 
The song is part of a compilation album that will come out later on Toy Tonics (the Gomma Dancefloor Gems).
