Renowned Colombian producer Kamilo Sanclemente @kamilosanclemente , a key figure in contemporary Progressive House, presents “Astronauts Nightmares / Destination (Remixes)” on Univack — a powerful release featuring three unique reinterpretations of his original tracks. Three distinct sonic visions reimagine Kamilo’s cosmic and melodic landscapes from complementary and personal perspectives.

Veteran Maltese artist DJ Ruby @djruby takes “Astronauts Nightmares” into an acid-driven, epic terrain — perfect for peak-time moments on the dancefloor. Argentine producer Nicolas Viana @nicolasvianadj offers a different reading, where dreamy textures and rich harmonies intertwine with organic groove and elegance. Finally, Kebin van Reeken @kebinvanreeken-1 transforms “Destination” with a progressive and hypnotic rework, marked by refined sound design and sonic depth.

Dubai’s iconic audio tonic brand is on the cusp of celebrating 10 years of establishment, and next up on the label their 35th release encompasses the true sound of now.

The combined release output of all the artists involved with AT035 is substantial, with the original mixed crafted by the collaboration of Egyptian born now based in Barcelona Raxon, and the Belgian disco synth duo of Spirit Catcher. Their releases on Culprit, Noir, Cecile, My Favorite Robot, Gruuv, Pets Recordings and 2020 Vision to name a large handful make clear their intentions. Traffiq is a masterful dose of sub bottom end and crafted synth work, squeaks, beeps, squelches and signature sounds of both Raxon & Spirit Catcher. Throw in the addictive percussive framework and you’ve got a track ready for true dance floor deviance.

Next up the remix, and with the likes of Noir Music, Suara, Knee Deep In Sound, Great Stuff and Tretmuehle using his production prowess to represent their labels, Olivier Giacomotto is riding a rolling electronic wave. His rework incorporates THE famous Giacomotto bass line we have all grown to love, and most importantly recognise as his true signature. Taking the track down the darker realms OG turns out a remix worthy of note, and one we hope (and know) will be throwing hands into the air across the globe this summer and for years to come!

Originally from South Shields, M​ark Jenkyns has enjoyed a series of well received releases on Hot Creations, Hot Waves, Crosstown Rebels and Dogmatik. o+o R​espected duo Sam Walker and Gavin Royce aka W​alker & Royce f​ormed in 2011 and have since released on the likes of Crosstown Rebels, Moda Black, Pets Recordings and OFF Recordings. Manchester’s latest offering Adam and Andre are DJ and production duo S​currilous.​Their first release appeared on Foreign Language Records and this remix on VIVa MUSiC paves the way for more to come including a full EP on VIVa remixed by Paul C & Paolo Martini.

Ricci has been shaping the underground scene in Europe for 20 years now, as a DJ, label owner and producer with credits on the likes of Compost, Connected Frontline and MoBlack. His weekly show on Ibiza Global Radio is a go-to for lovers of timeless house and techno and naturally he has gigged all over his native Ibiza's finest spots as well as around Europe.

His excellent new track 'Sternentreiben' is a busy techno journey with electro bass, slapping hits and dark wave vocals all making for an alluring sound world. It's a place of reflective melody and plenty of thoughtful synths, but with an irresistible groove.

Famous former Trouw resident Patrice Baumel has an elegant and emotive sound that can be warm and pensive or more peak time and energetic, as he has proven on his Global Underground mix and with releases on labels like Afterlife and Watergate. Here he flips the original into an electrifying techno roller with bright synths lighting up the skies in cosmic fashion.

Next to remix is Dodi Palese, who grew up DJing many different styles in his native Southern Italy, runs his own labels What Ever Not, Engrave Ltd and Rakale and has recently released on the like of Innervisions and Exit Strategy. First comes his fantastic Power Beats mix, a classy melodic techno track with plenty of astral synths and dancing drums that ooze futuristic soul. His second superb offering is even more direct, with trance-inducing chords bringing plenty of hands in the air energy.

Exclusive: Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht – RaptorX (LEJ Version)

Correspondant's last release of a strange 2020 is their annual compilation, simply named Compilation 08 including music from friends, affiliates and companions of the label as well as cuts from aspiring artists. The 8th edition, for example, features a new original track from Peter Invasion and Gregor Habicht, their first and altogether second one, after making their debut on Institut für Zukunft's 5th anniversary compilation a while back. Riotvan founder Peter Invasion and Gregor Habicht chose a rather club-oriented approach varying between darker disco-esque elements and clashing Electro beats topped with a (glitch) chord sequence and vocals that seem to miss the dance floor as much as the instrumental and therefore create the perfect symbiosis and unite strangers in the night with this eight minute lasting homage to a dark and sweaty clubs or just an ordinary dance floor experience from former times made special with Peter and Gregor's music.

Correspondant's Compilation 08 will be released on December 11th, 2020.
