A style of music in the realm of hip-hop where instrumentals are derived from funky sounds, but slowed down to create an eery backdrop for lyrics that push boundaries on the darkest parts of our society and human nature.

TRAP MUSIC➤
Trap music is a subgenre that originated during the 1990s from Southern hip hop in the Southern United States. It is typified by its ominous lyrics and sound that incorporate double or triple-time sub-divided hi-hats, heavy kick drums from a Roland TR-808, layered synthesizers, and "cinematic" strings. The term "trap" initially referred to places where drug deals take place. In recent years it has been incorporated with electronic dance music (EDM) by artists who have remixed and made trap songs with more EDM-like aspects.

Despite his name Señor Chugger (@senorchugger) is a young British producer : “I just liked Señor instead of Mister 😀”. This is how he describes himself : “Forged in the darkness of a Welsh basement, Señor Chugger was born through a caustically potent passion for Chug, Italo & EBM.”

He dropped earlier this year a promising Ep full of italo / nu disco with a twist of English funkyness on top, on Moustache (@david-vunk), the records label from David Vunk that has been putting out quality stuff regularly for a while now.

Señor Chugger will release more stuff as soon as he gets a new computer. Here is his 716 Mix for now, just on time to celebrate the end of the containment here in France : some italo-ish, balear-ish, nu-disco-ish melting pot in the middle of which you can find a Colombian and a French tracks.

"Open windows" the title speaks for itself, an album produced during the lockdown, as a call to return to openness to the world, a desire to share.
For his second album, the French producer Madjack propels us to the heart of his emotions lived during this difficult period for all, to the hope for a better world, all with groove and elegance. He transports us into his Detroit-inspired universe, and opens up to all that we expect from the cradle of techno. As he likes to say, "No tendencies, just music!"

The album opens with a dubstep and melancholic rhythm, reminding us of the collapse of everything at the beginning of this pandemic. Flagrance goes back to the questioning of everyone in a hovering atmosphere, while Funk Spirit takes us back to the hypnotism of a shamanic dance. Lockdown makes us swing towards a jazzy and airy and classy house. While listening to Night falling we find ourselves scanning the horizon while spinning on the sand ready to embark on something else. Odissey makes us cross the ocean to arrive towards a better world where people are united and in peace as Peace people makes us think and it ends with a superb electro track 808 soothing as a time travel full of hope and love.
