Archaeoastronomy or "cultural astronomy"26 studies the astronomy of ancient cultures. This interdisciplinary area of study requires accurate knowledge of mathematics and astronomy to determine the position of celestial phenomena. Furthermore, it must be based in anthropology, archaeology, ethnohistory, architecture and geography in order to make appropriate interpretations of the orientation of monuments and temples.

In Mesoamerica, archaeoastronomy has been a particularly fruitful field of research as ethno- historical records strongly suggest that the positions of, and periods of, celestial bodies were recorded with precision in order to set dates in the ritual and solar calendars.
The observational elements of pre-Hispanic religion not only included the observation of the annual course of the Sun, certain planets and constellations, but also the observation of geography and natural phenomena in a wider sense.

PartyFine and Thump present: Yuksek's PartyFine Mix

Mario had an eye for electronic dance music for many years, but it was in Barcelona between 2002 and 2003 his interest for House music really flourished. Mario started DJ-ing seriously in 2007 and has since played at several clubs and events in Oslo and in other Norwegian cities such as Tromsø and Kristiansand. Mario has cooperated with many djs; A:G, David Sense, balErik, Lil'Wolf (Of Norway), Coltsfoot, Alex Jangle, Håkon Drange(Plumbo), to name a few.

A couple of years ago, Mario has started producing music as well, resulting in his first release in 2011. He has since had several releases on labels such as Regalia Recordings, Ken Records, Phat Fuel and Plastic Fantastic Recordings. His tracks have been played on Norwegian national radio in several occasions and he's recieved support from artists such as Mark Farina, Marius Våreid, Disko! Selectors, Chris Jylkke 

Mario has an eclectic taste that moves from Disco to Techno and Tech House via indie dance. He puts a lot of his personality into his music, and focuses a lot on creating the right atmosphere for the audience at the right time.

Mario also does live sets entirely with his own material, and has had great success in making people get their dance on with his sets.

Expect variety when Mario hits the decks!
