"Somewhere around 1999/2000, DJ Sneak and I arrived in Ibiza, but our luggage, including our vinyl crates did not. We spent the next 36 hours driving back and forth from the Saint Eulalia area checking for our vinyl after every flight with our airline. This was pre-cell phone era, so communication was sparse at best. After at least 6-8 trips back and forth, they arrived on the last flight possible to have records for our gig. -このミックスのコンセプトを教えて下さい。

これはロンドンのクラブBasing Houseでプレイした時のライヴ・ミックスだ。
300人規模の箱だったけど、素晴らしいFunktion-Oneのサウンドシステムが設備されていたよ。
ここでは1人のDJが一晩中プレイするというスタイルでパーティをおこなっているんだ。
このミックスは早い時間にプレイしていたMushroom Jazzのセットだね。
オープンから沢山のお客さんが踊りに来てくれて、楽しかったことを覚えているよ。

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Mark Farina's seminal Mushroom Jazz series, number 7 in my vinylcast series is a throwback to a time when Mushroom Jazz was a cassette series sold in record stores notably Gramaphone Records in Chicago.  I have a small library of Mark's classic cassettes and this is definitely one of my favorites. So happy I could share it on the cusp of the release of MJ8, Mark's latest proper Mushroom Jazz release hitting the streets July 22. Cheers and enjoy.
