Saddle up! Club Cowgirl, the label, is turning two this June, and we’re celebrating the only way we know fit: with a 9-track, no-skips, genre-bending VA that rides straight up, down and around in a sonic stampede.

‘The First Rodeo’ is our biggest addition to the imprint yet. A year in the making, this compilation brings together the extended Cowgirl family; label boss Scarlett O’Malley leads the charge, joined by a handpicked posse of producers like Jelsen to A for Alpha to YSANNE and more, who represent the wild, club-laden, sweaty corners of the underground dancefloor.
From the progressive Latin-tinged vocal-stabbed house of ‘Ride ‘Em’, to the bassy Bristol murk of ‘Counting’, onto the all-out, trance-adjacent chaos of ‘Employee Evaluation’, this record lasso's Club Cowgirl’s varying moods, bpm and vibe. This VA flits between tech house, hip-house and deep house: a real house music lovers hoedown. Whether you're closing your eyes at 6 a.m. or two-stepping in a club basement, there’s something here for every cowboy, cowgirl, and cowthey on the rave frontier.

A sound-soaked birthday giddyup; it’s a snapshot of the producers we love, the genres that make us move, and what makes this label groove. It’s raw, it’s rowdy, it’s stomp-ridden certified. Two years deep, and we’re still just getting this party started.
So, is it our first rodeo? Technically, yes. But we hope everyone is along for the ride.
