My winning mix for Sasha LNOE x Traktor competition! Thank you Sasha, Last Night On Earth & TRAKTOR! ♥

The brief was "This mix needs to include an LNOE release as well as a 90’s dance track of your choice". A fun challenge! Decided to record a breaks set as I had been collecting a few recently, and didn't want a 90s track to stand out as being obviously old when listening to it. Obviously had to include one of my favourite tracks of all time from Essay - Archangel. So good I stalked him down and made him come to my party 🤣 Thank you Simon, still so beautiful ❤❤❤ I hope the music makes up for the dodgy pun and you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed recording this 😁 x

PoleGroup Radio - Exium - 20.04

@Exium were already established names in their own right before coming together in the late 90's. Immediately earning attention from imprints like Tsunami, Warm Up and Zet, they have released hundreds of significant records that evolved from their foundational knowledge of hard techno, downtempo, classic Detroit, electro and more.

When the pair connected with Spanish techno label’s PoleGroup collaboration Seleccion Natural in 2008, their musical scope and creative potential became even greater. Joining forces with the expert veterans Oscar Mulero and Reeko, two became four, heralding in an electrifying new act that incorporated additional decks, FX, and two mixers for an all-star show that has been wildly popular across Europe.

In April last year, we invited the quartet over to FOLD, where they disseminated their progressive sound that not only held a complete fidelity to their vision but has also been a benchmark in how to move with the scene authentically.

For our next DETECT, they recorded this exclusive mix that gives another glimpse into their innovative realm.

Sasha presents Last Night On Earth | Show 065 (15.12.20)

Leaving the rest in his wake, Matt K has rose from the traumatic rebirth of the American electronic dance music landscape to become the leader and organizing principle in the western world's interpretation of dark and hard electronic music. Experiencing DJ Matt ...K's revolutionary brand of techno is immersing oneself in the embodiment of the most progressive sounds possible on the dance floor today. Emerging from the flooded bedroom scene of the late 90s, Matt K brought the champion sound of concussion heavy house and techno that had had the voracity of dark American pop culture and the bass and bounce of the British club scene to his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. His tactical expansion grew quickly, establishing his influence through facets of promotion, musical production and mixing which brought new sounds and ideas to a dying scene, allowing him within a mere few years to have toured Europe and much of America while controlling the techno scene across the eastern seaboard of the united states. His production created a sound that has become its own brand name: Gangsta-Tech, the fusion of methodically syncopated bass driven techno and hip hop. His chart topping anthem "Unfinished Business" was considered the flagship of genre and garnered him immense radio airplay and record sales. He has released these explosions of groove on labels such as Glitch Recordings (U.K.), Planet Rhythm (U.K.), Submissions (Holland), and his own label Omerta Music Group (USA) to name a few. These records have defined his distinct combination of musical influences as one of the most impressive and infectious sounds to come from the Detroit school of thought. His DIY approach has helped fuel not only his own label, but in 2007 he founded the booking agency Niytrus Management based out of Atlanta, as well as his own clothing company entitled 8mm Clothing. These avenues of thought have established Matt K as North America's dance music mogul of the 21st century, and the representative of progressive hard techno everywhere.
