My first ever recorded DJ set:

This was inspired by my lake house ("McCooey's Lounge") and mixed live in 2010 with my first set of DJ equipment (CDJ 100's and a DJM-300). My mixing has improved greatly since then, so this does have the occasional hiccup here or there (I was just learning), but I still appreciate the hundreds and hundreds of tracks I went through before settling on this selection, and how much I learned about the mechanics of mixing and track selection through that process. I still find myself groovin' to it now!

McCooey's Lounge 2010

This mix includes some of the “dirtier-filthier” beats I’ve been digging lately. As always, I primarily featured lesser-known “underground” artists in this mix. Turn those speakers up!

This is my first mix to feature some tracks with significant lyrics/vocals. I typically find lyrics/vocals in electro house to be a bit too cheesy, but these grimy bass lines will make you love them! 

The mix was recorded live on CDJ-1000 MKIs and a DJM-400.
