Casa de Oso presents: Liquid Bloom New Year’s Eve in Sacred Valley, Peru

We welcomed the New Year in Peru’s Sacred Valley, held by the ancient Apu mountains and the community prayer space of AYNI Sanctuary. Liquid Bloom guided a three-hour dance journey, weaving organic soundscapes, tribal house, and modern bass into a long ecstatic wave that crested as the year turned. Together with the medicine family of the valley, under the Andes and the stars, the night unfolded as a living ritual of gratitude, renewal, and unity.

With an overflowing cup of gratitude, I’m so honoured to share the live recording from my downtempo @rainbow-serpent-festival set, as another artist life goal is achieved! As always, the set includes live looping with my vocals, didjeridoo/yidaki and percussion, and was a blast to expand my creativity and have more space to jam over an ambient and downtempo journey.

I first attended Rainbow Serpent back in 2014 and it completely blew my mind, body and spirit wide open, introducing me to the thrill of dancing without inhibition, the expansiveness of festival culture and the nourishment of community connection – pillars that are huge influences in my life still and form the root of how I show up for community in service today with my offerings through Dance Wave gatherings and my Elkemist project.

To share a music set with this festival feels like such a full-circle experience – to give back to a gathering that connected me with my purpose and meaning, and to provide some healing vibrations to the re-birth of Rainbow Spirit was such an incredible honour… Endless gratitude to Eva and the Evolve Gallery for hosting me, shoutout to the talented Vondove for live painting during my set and big love to the friends who came by and painted, swayed and danced, and for those who poked their heads into the gallery and ended up hanging out – thank you!

This is my set recorded live at the Homestead stage in the village at Rainbow Spirit festival March 2026. 
It's a down-tempo tribal journey that peaks in energy midway with a soft bass-y and lyrical decent into a sweet flute sound healing shavasana at the end. 

It was an honour to collaborate with my sweet Shakti sister, Yoga teacher Cadia Belante to bring Shakti Rhythm and Flow to the return of this iconic Melbourne festival.

Following an extended teaching journey in Europe, I staked my tent in the studio of CIUT radio in the heart of downtown Toronto. For the past 26 years, I've hosted NO MAN'S LAND and have earned a reputation among a loyal audience for unique, groove-driven explorations into the evolution of world music & global electronica.

From Indo-Arabic Dub to Afro-Latin Funk to Gypsy-Swing Electronica, sets flow seamlessly from soothing ancient rhythms and textures through rippling primitive &amp; progressive beats, always challenging cultural boundaries &amp; musical traditions. This genre-bending mixology has generated a throng of listeners locally and internationally + continues to win fans over the airwaves and on dancefloors. NO MAN'S LAND is considered by many to be the top world fusion radio show in Canada. 

Running the gamut of underground parties to mainstream stages, I've produced shows and played DJ sets with dozens of heroes and major international artists. I've spoken at numerous conferences & festivals discussing world music, cultural activism and social citizenship, and have toured across North America as a yoga DJ.

Working closely with the finest clubs and promoters on local and international concerts &amp; parties and through consistent work as an educator, radio producer and cultural ambassador, medman is instrumental in pushing global music forward, and in exposing the international airwaves to the best emerging &amp; established artists in the scene. That was a serious run-on sentence folks. Nevertheless, the recipe is to diligently seek out the finest independent grooves, hook into the leading music labels and spread a weekly healing dose to the masses. Music is our medicine.
