My Neighborhood #6 - June 2021

Progressive Session

OH MY GOD. Did this just happen guys? After 17 years of absence from the DJ booth, two months ago i decided to pick up DJing again and here i am again playing my first live set at a festival with an amazing crowd! Because of sheer coincidence, a cancelled paragliding trip, my buddy Eltjo and myself decided to help prepare the festival grounds on friday, amongst other things i did some soundchecking on all the stages, fixed some problems and got to know the new gear, just playing for the technicans around, which was a treat all by itself. And then on saturday the festival opened, i was there as a visitor, having a great time but of course with my music on me... just because. Then early evening it felt like the sky opened up, a light shined on my bald head and i was given a slot at the secret stage! 

For over one and a half hour -the best hours of my life- i gave it my all and it was absolutely awesome! The people kept pouring in, the vibe was so real, the energy was sweet and intense. Wow. I got so many questions during and afterwards of all those lovely people, who are you? whats your next festival? will you be here next year? at what club do you reside? I am humbled by all the attention and heartwarming compliments. All i can say is: I AM BACK. I am making plans, i am available for bookings, looking for great parties! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for enjoying this extremely special moment with me, it was an honour being MR DJ again! This is the live recording of that set at De Weide Festival 2023, i did not get the first few minutes on record, thats why this set starts a bit abrupt, i got some help finding the record button a few minutes into the set.

From his extensive back catalog of releases under his multiple solo aliases... to producing/touring with the likes Ricardo Villalobos & DJ Sneak among many others... to appearances spanning Sunwaves and Zanzibar Pyramid to smaller-yet-refined venues such as Club der Visionaere, Hoppetosse, or Wilde Renate ~ Tripz has well and truly established himself as a world-class artist that needs little to no more introduction. 

Here we have a full SEVEN hour recording of one of his recent sets at Berlin's iconic Club der Visionaere. Expect everything from house to minimal and everything in between, mixed with that signature Tripmastaz flava.
