'If you're not a boss, boy don't get involved'. This sample from @djdirekt's 'Boss' says it all. Direkt has been slamming out tunes throughout the pandemic that could smash the dance to pieces, if we were only out there to feel them. Now that we are back on the floor, watch out! To emphasize the point, I'm planning a dedicated DJ Direkt mix in the coming weeks.

There are some equally boss producers featured here (Pola & Bryson, Jedi, Midst, Bungle, Lupo, Covert Garden, Need For Mirrors, Ego Trippin, Exile & Mark XTC, Ly Da Buddah, Nia Archives, Watch the Ride, to name a few) and some amazing new discoveries for me in the last week (Natural Error, HVZY, Neil Badboy). The mix comes at the tail end of a four day weekend here in Canada, most of which was spent outdoors, but when the sun went down it was time for the breaks to crawl out and mingle. Jungle/Drum & Bass dj in Victoria, BC, Canada (Mile Zero). MZ saw his first show in Toronto, 1996 (Bryan Gee & Krust), it was love at first break.  

On the decks MileZero likes to bounce, click and step with a heavy wobble, overtop deep, growling, techy darkness. Set foot in the dancehall and watch him skank it out all night until they turn the lights on.
