DJ MiXX - That House Sound (Fall 2012)

Today I was reflecting on my younger years as a DJ and let me tell you, I miss the years 1994-95.  This is where Booty House and Hard House was very dominant in Chicago.  Back then the internet wasn't as accessible and cassette tapes were popular.

I miss the days of carrying crates of records to venues and events.  The day of where the event promoter was the actual promoter and the DJ wasn't the one that had to bring 30 plus people out to the gig.  This mix is dedicated to all of the oldschool club heads that were in dance crews from back in the day.  To name a couple; Untouchables, A.O.U. etc.

I would like to share my love for Chicago House Music from back in the Mid 90s. This is mix the sequel to DJ MiXX - Back2NineT5, I've enjoyed make this new mix and hope that you enjoy listening to it.

Back in the 90s Chicago was dominated with awesome House Music Producers and very Talented DJs. Today Technology has far surpassed those days where vinyl records were carried by every DJ who ever graced the turntables. Yes that's right Technics 1200 Turntables were in every club that you could image. Today Technology has advanced djing to controllerism and such.

I miss the days of carrying crates of records to venues and events. I actually remember taping the B96 Street Mix at 10pm every night on my cassette tape deck. Yep, the good old "Pause" & "Record" buttons and a 90 minute black Maxell tape.
