One of the biggest dance tracks of the year so far undoubtedly belongs to Will Easton.  ’18 Month Free Trial’, released on W&O Street Tracks, was hammered from all four sides of the electronic music community, and spent 5 months in the Beatport Top 100 chart, so infectious was this young producer’s debut for our label.  

On ‘023’, Easton wastes no time at all in bringing the key elements to the fore; a gnarly acid bassline and rasping chord stabs provide the contagious melodies underpinned by a swinging and shaking drum pattern that recedes as the breakdown takes on ‘French Kiss’ proportions with it’s drastic speed adjustments.  Quite simply, it’s another sure-fire winner from Easton, whose star continues to rise with stellar productions like this.

Jack Back is the new project from an as yet anonymous, ever-evolving and high profile artist from fine house music roots. Taking inspiration from Bessie Jones’ iconic record, which was made famous by Moby’s ‘Honey’, but here given new lyrics and meaning, ‘(It Happens) Sometimes’ is a thunderous record, self-assured with a powerful 4/4 groove and intoxicating vocal, ready to take the halls of house music by storm.

Having already made a big impact on the music scene in a relatively short space of time, in part thanks to his two previous releases on Street Tracks (‘18 Month Free Trial’ and ‘023’), Will Easton returns to the label with a killer new single.  Support from Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Diplo, Camelphat and Danny Howard, amongst others, have ensured that Easton’s music is reaching far and wide.  

Bursting with a vibrant bass melody and a soaring piano & strings motifs, ‘Kaleidoscope’ creates pure dancefloor energy and drama from the get go.  Easton keeps the elements nice and simple, whilst always getting the maximum from them, a testament to his knack of crafting contemporary club bombs!

‘Walk The Line’ is equally buoyant, with its infectious lead riff and pumping rhythm track serving up an elated club cut for the peak hours!

Back once again with the ill behaviour, Lord Leopard, the ‘chosen one’, who opened up Edible’s campaign back in 2015, returns to the fold for the label’s quarter century release mark (that’s our 25th release if you’re confused).  Eats Everything’s power-house of house has racked up bombs from Waze & Odyssey, Seb Zito, Alex Virgo, Ben Sterling and Méle, to name but a few, and strides into 2020 with more underground goodies for your lug holes and tootsies.

Futuristic disco pumpers can be heard on the ‘Disco Rage’ EP, as the mighty Lord Leopard literally swings from the mirror-ball with his kecks down; ‘Malibu Stacey’ comes correct with a heady brew of funk laden basslines, orchestral stabs, ascending strings, and hammering beats, whilst ‘Drang’ slaps you around the chops with tuff drums and sweaty basement sounds for some real deal, crunchy French licked house.

Lord Leopard has been busy of late, with releases and remixes for Street Tracks, Classic Music Company, Music For Freaks and Cajual, as well as smashing it at multiple Edible and elrow events.

Alex Virgo returns to Eats Everything’s Edible label after 2018’s simply huge ‘Ze Dance’ hit, with a follow up single that ramps up the disco chips with another floor filling monster, ‘Brother’.

Unashamedly plundering the sort of cosmic disco that drives the crowds wild at spots like NYC Downlow and Horse Meat Disco; ‘Brother’ is spacey and futuristic, intoxicating and Balearic, and with a vocal that hits the sweet spot, we anticipate this one to be ringing out across all discerning discotheques for quite some time .  ‘Who You Know’ pitches elated and loopy sample use with a chunky bassline and beats combo, parping brass and a ton of funk!

Alex Virgo has already made a big impact on the house circuit in a relatively short space of time, having carved out remixes for the likes of The Carry Nation, HiFi Sean & Crystal Waters, aural pleasers for Hot Haus Records, &Friends and, of course, for Edible, as well as running his own Pomme Frite imprint.
