This is intended to induce lucid dreaming, per the experts in the field of hertz dissonance and neurology. We'll see what happens but it puts me to sleep every night.

Meditation: Fire and Light

To Be Invincibly Curious

When was I a fledgling soft and unweathered,
before knowing the magnetic song of migration
before knowing the fall from the nest
which once became awkward flight 
there was no mind to make up
no love save for the cerulean blue
so innocently, so gracefully, home.
I was fascinated by the very edge of sight
nothing yet to fear, naught for my wings to give yield.  
To dare that edge was the electricity in my bones
the engine that drove my nubile beating heart, my imperfect voyage
cutting through Saturdays and good days and the shimmering solar rays as if these
were nothing. Perhaps they weren’t, but  I wouldn’t know, I was loose in the great abyss called time
No cages held me, no minute divided my attention, and I stalked newness as a raptor,
and made my stand with a parliament of crows, and any other congregant of wind.
Yet none is free and complete without enduring hard passage, and soon,
time fastened hard, my split eggshell an ancient impossible dream,
and the final air-dance spun me with a quickening into the
curled talons of the final climax, the last trill,
falling into the mercury of otherness
into which all falls, none spared.
Then, this- I am glass now.
Once essential, I am ornamental,
home now with a whole flock of silence-
ever observant, ever still, yet evermore remembered
as light fills me, I exude not in song but prismatic luminous I still declare,
“here I am, this bird, a harbinger from the wilds; sing with me of the vastness of souls…”
