@dowdsmusic & @okain.music. I also had to re-spin @kaialce's beautiful remix of @jankincl & regis kattie because i love it so much 💜

Moving into the second hour we had a guestmix from @katiushadj. This was originally scheduled over a year ago and has been moved several times & i'm so happy we finally got a date to air. She stepped up & provided us with 52mins of pure class ranging from breaks, ambient & some deeper numbers.

Moxie on NTS Radio: Home Broadcast 47 '10 Year Anniversary Show' (19.05.21)

Music might be the main dish that London-based DJ and radio host Sofie K is serving up, but her creative pursuits stretch much further than that. Also a dab hand at writing, illustrating, designing and broadcasting (is there anything she can't do!?) she uses every tool at her disposal to paint a solid picture of who and what Sofia is all about.

Her residency on NTS began as a platform to share her favourite sounds, predominantly in the realms of Italo, cosmic disco and synth-pop, but as her show has grown so has the breadth of her sound, which sees her dip into everything from breaks, techno and house pumpers to trance, new beat and minimal synth. 

When she's not broadcasting each month you can find her behind the decks at various fine establishments across the UK, including regular stints at club nights High Hoops and Partisan Collective in her former home of Manchester.

On today's mix she comes through with the wiggly, melodic pumpers and driving rhythms to help you shake off those sore heads from the weekend's club antics...

Berlin-based Katiusha is known for building hi-energy, intricate stories on the dancefloor. With a background in experimental radio and non-profit parties, her taste has always extended far and wide – but her club selections draw heavily on atmospheric rollers, leftfield techno, and UK impact. Flying from hardcore to jungle, techno to dubstep and some ambient nuances; fearlessly barrels through genres with the utmost care and precision - truly one of the tidiest DJs.

This sound has caught the attention of revered venues like FOLD, Tresor, and Berghain’s SÄULE. On air, she's played for Boiler Room, Rinse FM, and Moxie’s semanal NTS show and Festivals like Dimensions and Cosmic Roots. Last year she made a strong entrance onto the production scene with debuts on Peach Discs and Idle Hands: in 2024 she leaned into a more trippy bass sound, releasing on dubstep imprint SPLOT and, more recently, her own label GRACE. The label is a new project for hazy club sonics, with a DIY ethos and producer equity at its core.

Long story short, you can trust Katiusha to provide the best wubs and cosmic rollers, so you don't want to miss this percussive but surrounding mix.

Originally from Leeds, georg-i is a Bristol based producer and DJ whose love for everything fast and scrappy all the way to rushing euphoria permiates throughout his work. With releases on aya and BFTT's lable YCO and Perko's FELT imprint along with the numerous mixes on NTS, Rinse FM, Radio Raheem and most recently contributing to the Knekelhuis mix series, georg-i has cultivated a sound that will have you barrelling along one moment and give you serious whiplash the next.

Katiusha is a Berlin-via-London artist whose DJs sets mix up the weighty, the wonky and the beautiful: a sound FACT Mag called “diaphanous rave”.  Coming from a background in experimental radio and not-for-profit parties, her taste has always extended far and wide. Now with a focus on sleek dancefloor rollers and hi-tek abstractions, she’s gone on to play for names like UNFOLD, Tresor, and Boiler Room, and has appeared on Rinse FM, HÖR, and Moxie’s esteemed NTS show. Recently her productions have also started to surface on labels like Peach Discs, SPLOT and Idle Hands, with more on its way in 2024.
