Play It Again

This was a project that my guy Dustin Woo (HYZE) and I worked on back in November/December of last year. 

I parked it for almost a year (mostly because I wasn't happy with where my edits and vocals were at; Dustin is smooth), but I recently had the feeling that this should be shared, as it's raw and from the heart, and represented where our heads were at in that given moment in time. Maybe you can relate. 

Tones of nostalgia, simultaneously happy and longing in the place where we are standing. Nihilism, grind and purpose, forward, backwards. Just some themes that were explored when Dustin and I got together to rap.

City of, bro-thly love I guess is where I’m heading,
I hope to god I find that love, I’m starting to feel dead in,
Side pretend fly inner shy, inner frighetened.
Scared to lose track of the truth within the writing

Be away from momma and papa I might have some night terrors
Sometime I think about death and it all seems to get clearer.
But those thoughts are bringing me down, so i blink in the mirror
Down with insidious cause only idiots persists their errors.

Funny that at the end you see who's fake and who's your friend,
And who does care and who does not who’s icy cold or fiery hot.
Who listens deep who talks a lot who where when what does it matter pass the pot
Pass the booze up the muse dance listlessly until we drop.

But see the folly in living this kinda life? When you wandering and pondering these infancies at night.
I want to transcend this kinda existence, 
Give some sort of resistance.
Use my voice to move the waves and work up ranks in business.

Forget all the haters:
