On May 13, 1962, Mother's Day, is based on Rhythmic Youth Assembly, which soon changed its name to Youth Sextet. Its structure was Olinto Medina, founder, director and bassist, John Medina, on guitar, vocals Arturo Lopez, Elio Pacheco, congas, Carlos croquer, drums, Isaiah, bongo. The following year they recorded "tumba'o Tasty" and 1970 "Youth is imposed," become the theme song, The Prison.

In 1971 to experiment with pop record "Candy and Chocolate". He also recorded "The Magic Sextet" with Caramel and Chocolate topics, with all flags (also an almost hymn) and Sandra Mora rumba.
Record "Bolero" and "Full Rate". Win gold disc Velvet. In 71 recorded the LP "All" and "stick it". Later that year they recorded the album "No. 12" with hits like Love impossible.
In 73 his contract expires with the Velvet label and renewed the band when musicians decided to set up separate tent with singer Carlos Quintana with his group "Snuff and Metals." In April of that year made their fourth international tour to Puerto Rico. Even before they had gone to Colombia, Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire.
