Back in the early days of Warning Mix '#6 we had S.O.N.S delivering a masterclass in Drum & Bass, still one of the absolute highlights on our SoundCloud. This time we got permission to share the live recording of his garden set at our Berlin party last summer, a three hour vinyl only journey into psychedelic music based on an out of this world selection and stunning mixing skills. We could actually end the series after this one - but don't worry, there will probably be a hundred more. Now turn on the volume, tune in to the music, drop out into the universe :-)

Truly the best of the best, Ron is a musical magician like no other, an unparalleled master of the dancefloor with seemingly boundless energy and boundary-free flow that reaches back decades and stretches forward to the bleeding edge of dance music. We've fallen in love with Ron's sonic sorcery during many truly transformative sets and shared dancefloor moments - all delivered with unparalleled deftness and gentleness - and also with Ron's generous, bubbling personality which extends warm attention and supportive mentorship with a unique graciousness and sincerity. Ron co-runs the legendary Wrecked party - currently in residence at Basement NY - and makes frequent appearances at some of the most esteemed halls and precious holes we couldn't possibly enumerate. In support is Bounce Boss Furtive (whose development as a DJ has in no small part been nudged by the effusive support of Ron, from pandemic-period invitations to The Lot Radio and an appearance at Wrecked's 12th anniversary celebration in spring 2023). CLUB CHOW @ The Lot Radio 07-25-2025

The essence of psychedelia is disrupting expectations and altering perspectives - what better place to do so than in the vortex of the rave? 

It was an incredible honor to be a part of the inaugural edition of System Activate. The entire weekender campout rave was an exercise in intentionality, a generous labor of love with visionary execution. Anchored by a single stage with a pristine sound system, brought to life by a seasoned, die-hard-DIY team, and animated with an incredibly unpretentious, open-minded, and imaginative crowd of ravers, System Active was truly a novel, eye-opening adventure that struck real sparks of psychedelic inspiration. 

I believe this is one of the finest sets that I have played to date. Completely at ease in the booth, I played fervently and completely from the heart. This is a totally honest and unrestrained rendition of my creative screwball sensibilities as a DJ, conjuring a propulsive rhythmic tunnel and peeling away into moments of whiplash slack-jawed surprises. Rooted in wormhole-traversing techno but stretching well into psychedelic sludge, shameless sentimentality, poignant lessons, heaving bass-weight, and references to formative personally-precious material, this is a completely earnest translation of my psyche that also incorporates the work of friends and peers. 

It was a deep joy to be in the company of so many brilliant and clever dancefloor scramblers and dear friends as I landed us in dawn's first light. I am deeply grateful for this experience, and excited to share this transmission from the vortex.
