Having released most of his work through his own DIY channels, Luebs' sounds have reached many dancefloors worldwide. He now teams up with Bitta for something special. On Nontemporal Void, Luebs delivers four tracks that perfectly showcase his diverse sound palette. Each track hits a different box of energy—all while injecting a healthy dose of hypnotism. For the tenth release, Ko-ta joins DJ Nobu's Bitta label. The legendary Japanese producer, known for his releases on Stratosphere Records where he showed a unique take on tribal and off-beat techno tools, now returns with two fresh and fast paced rhythm work outs.

After blown away by a tune he heard in a friend’s Instagram Stories, Nobu asked the friend about the track which turned out to be a work of Ko-ta’s. Nobu immediately suggested Ko-ta to release his material on Bitta, and the result is this outstanding and singular EP for which Ko-ta contributed two amazing originals. Remixed by Don't DJ who flips 'Shiya' into an energetic stripped down drum and bass swinger and DJ Nobu who re-works 'Shiza' with his powerful broken techno touch.

DJ Nobu's Bitta welcomes Refracted. The Spanish producer delivers four expertly crafted cuts of his deep diving techno, fully embracing Bitta's hypnotic and energetic approach. Nobu: "Refracted is a unique techno producer whose work I have been playing in my sets for a long time". And the respect is mutual. Where Refracted witnessed many DJ sets of Nobu in person. "As a fan he experienced a number of my open air sets that were important to me, I think he has developed a complete understanding of what style of track works best on the dance floor in my sets".

The result is 'Torn Relics'. Four tracks reaching from tribal tinged loop techno to intense acidic wormholes. "When Refracted first sent me his demo's I was amazed how well they fitted my taste. All tracks on this EP are — in my interpretation — most effective when played outdoors. Of course, they will also sound amazing in a club setting. I've been playing these tracks at every important open air festival last year, so I wanted to make them available for you as soon as possible. I would call this EP is a true "open air techno masterpiece".

Doltz started his musical career in 1998 as a drummer in a hardcore punk band, and had a fateful encounter with DJ Nobu, who shares the same musical roots, when they were billed alongside each other at a party called 'Broad' in Fukuoka-city in the winter of 2022. Following up on the Hayal EP in 2023, Dutch techno refractor Konduku makes a welcome return to Bitta with another four cuts of prismatic club fuel. Throughout his consistent output Ruben Üvez applies non-standard ideas to the techno formula, toying with rhythm and eliciting transcendental atmospheres from unusual patterns.

This mode of exploration continues unabated on Gazoz, with the title track in particular leaning on a full-frequency, one-note synth pulse which dominates the mix and becomes truly hypnotic in its relentless presence. In the wrong hands it would come off garish, but Üvez knows how to weave subtlety around such forthright sonics to create a sublime sonic experience. 'Mikros' aligns with Konduku's more recognisable palette — taut, bell-like rhythmic threads that balance delicacy and impact while tunnelling into mysterious, introspective zones.

Aimed squarely at the heads-down section of the night, 'Luna' strides forth with a decisive dub techno palette and finds space for expression and progression in the most linear of arrangements. In true B2 style, 'Inici' rounds the EP out with a more fractured approach centred on reversed kicks and psychoactive arps riding wide and slow pitch bends for a mind-melting finish running at a formidable pace.

As well as showcasing Konduku at his best, the sound on Gazoz serves as an extension of Bitta boss DJ Nobu's own particular tastes in techno — brain-tweaking machine music crafted from supple parts, honed for the club without being limited by it.

Here is a set recording from one of my most valuable events, CODA by Ratherlost x Pax-Roama at Lofi. I put a massive effort into that night, thinking about the past and future of my DJ career. I communicated best with the dancers and could express myself in a way that only I could. Sometimes I feel insecure about my life as a DJ. CODA gave me all the answers.

DJ Nobu returns to his own Bitta label, his personal playground for new musical projects with a focus on artists coming out of Japan. The label functions as a space for experimentation with the intention of instigating multiple styles by unexpected artists or pairing them with stimulating remixers. The unique chemistry created by these cross-genre connections results in an exciting catalogue carefully curated and directed by DJ Nobu himself.

After recent outings on Rush Hour, Token and BleeD, the Japanese producer dives even deeper into a pure and adventurous techno journey with his most simplistic output to date. He considers this EP a DJ tool designed for the club, with four tracks of stripped down yet powerful dance floor workouts. All cuts have been tested and proven in Nobu’s own DJ sets before now, so he decided to make them available for fellow DJs to play and experiment with.

‘Freq003’ starts as a minimal trip, where a gurgling wave of energy melts into the rhythmic patterns for maximum impact. ‘Dualism’ might be the most melodic jam of all, with lush melodies highlighted by an energetic groove that evolves into a magnificent loop track. Flipping to the b-side, the fierce power of hypnotism takes over, ‘Ichimaru’ drags you into a dark wormhole of planetary space techno where ’STO’ closes the EP with six minutes of cavernous deep bass waves that emphasize the strength of multifunctional, minimalistic loop techno.

In light of the current Covid-19 Pandemic Studio Enisslab headed up by Italian DJ / Producer and Live Act Neel has announced the release of a very special 56 track charity compilation project, fundraising for The Red Cross, who are working extremely hard alongside health services internationally that are feeling the effects of the corona-virus outbreak the most right now. The compilation is available for a limited time via Bandcamp and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The Red Cross to help the world’s most affected countries in the Covid-19 pandemic.

This special release features over 6 hours of previously unreleased and unheard material, where an all star cast of artists were encouraged to share music that reflects this time we are living in.

Neel, who is one half of live duo Voices From The Lake, and LF58 speaks out on behalf of the initiative, organised in collaboration with improvised live project Circle Of Live, and visual art collective Sbagliato. He explains:

“In this situation we all need to look after each other and this project is a start. I wanted to reach as many people as possible to spread this message, so I started to share the idea personally with lots of artists and the response was amazing. I wanted them to take their time with whichever tools they had available at home to produce some music that reflects this time we are living in, a contribution for this special project and to portray a special message.”

The project’s cover art image brought to you by visual art collective Sbagliato shows pictures of windows of houses and studios taken by the artists themselves: 56 musicians, 56 windows, 56 tracks shape a new place of sharing.

Electronic centipede George Thompson aka Black Merlin debuts on DJ Nobu's Bitta label. The British producer delivers four expertly warped techno trips with his typical genre-bending approach. After his recent trip to Japan for Rural Festival 2019, Thompson was introduced to Nobu on the Iiyama train station for their ride back to Tokyo. Inspired by the festival itself and Nobu's approach to techno the two felt an immediate connection and stayed in touch for exchanging their ideas. A few months later Thompson sent his music, visualizing a bridge to connect his music closer to Japan and the inspiration he got from his Rural visit. Nobu: "I was immediately convinced it was a great match, and I could tell he had been following the previous Bitta releases and understood the label's aesthetics. To me, this EP demonstrates his new vision of dynamic techno thats so thrilling as if you were watching a movie, all illuminated in gorgeous pastel-coloured sound effects!"
